Summary: You Have to Love Rochelle Alers
Review: Back Cover of the Book Reads:

At one time, nothing had been able to quench Jeremy Blackstone's insatiable hunger for luscious Tricia Parker. He'd lived for their passion-filled encounters even though they were from such different worlds. Then ugly accusations of her betrayal ripped them apart...

Years later Tricia had come home to help her grandfather, not to rekindle her affair with Blackstone. But Jeremy was injured and needed her nursing skills. Staying by Jeremy's bedside and seeing to his most intimate needs stirred a sensous yearning in Tricia she couldn't control. Like deja vu, the magnetic closeness they once shared ignited an irresistible attraction that inexorably pulled them together...again.

I loved this book and honestly can't believe someone said this book was awful. This book was great, and in so many ways, classic Rochelle Alers. Jeremy and Tricia have that once in a lifetime love that you only wish, hope, and dream you could have, and Alers writes their passion for each other better than almost anyone. I highly recommend this book and also highly recommend buying any other books by her especially in the Hideaway series.

Summary: Awful
Review: I assumed she was a good writer because I have read her short stories in books by other authors that I love. When reading those stories, I was under the assumption that her stories seemed sort of "rushed" because they were short stories. I gave her benefit of doubt although the other authors in the same book gave life and development to their short stories. But after purchasing this book because Brenda Jackson, Donna Hill or Francis Ray had no books in the store on that day and I really needed a book to read for a particularly long day of sitting around, I was SO THOROUGHLY DISSAPOINTED in this book that I did not want to finish it and in fact, started to throw it in the trash until my 17-year old daughter asked for it and said that it could not be that bad. It proved her wrong. I will never buy another book by this author again unless/if she is in another book with my favorite authors. She cannot carry a book alone. This was never developed fully, it seemed as is it was written in an afternoon, and it was too farfetched to be believed. I am glad that I only paid 4.00 for it, otherwise I would be crying right now, instead of being disappointed.

Summary: Lover of Romance Books
Review: I found this book very enjoyable. I was glad that they were able to come to the realization that a lie had torn them apart and true love had brought them back together again.

Summary: Coming home...
Review: Intrigued by the first Blackstone brother, Ryan from The Long Hot Summer? Couldn't wait for the next story to be released? Well wait no more. Rochelle Alers is back with her second installment in The Blackstones of Virginia series. This is Jeremy's story...

During their teen years, Jeremy Blackstone and Tricia Parker were in love and virtually inseparable. Their plans for happily ever after came to a screeching halt when Jeremy up and leaves without any explanation.

Fast forward fourteen years. Jeremy and Tricia are both back at Blackstone Farms; it's not a joyous occasion though. Jeremy has been hurt and needs 'round the clock care, and with Tricia being a nurse, she's asked to provide his care. Both Jeremy and Tricia balk at the idea, but realize their arguments are fruitless, so they quickly establish a platonic nurse/patient relationship. Before long, the couple become aware that the passion that burned between them so many years ago was not extinguished with their break-up, instead it was merely laying dormant, waiting for a little spark to bring it flaming back to life. Will Jeremy and Tricia be able to get past the hurt and secrets that they harbor and accept that their destiny is inexplicably intertwined?

VERY PRIVATE DUTY was a quick, heartwarming read. If you've ever doubted the age-old adage of "absence makes the heart grow fonder", Rochelle Alers shoots down all doubts with Jeremy and Tricia's journey to forever. Ms. Alers is definitely a master of the romance genre and fans new and old are sure to treasure this story just as I did. (RAW Rating: 3.5)

Summary: My First Love
Review: Okay, I am also a sucker for the "reunited with the first love/love of your life storyline." Alers has written an engaging and sweet tale of a love that went wrong, but somehow managed to get back on the right track. I am so happy that "The Blackstones of Virginia" is a series that promises to get better and better.
