Summary: An Intriguing Book
Review: This book is about a woman, Jayne, who is a private detective who needs work and gets it by deciding to try to bust a black-market baby ring. Things go wrong and she saves an infant but then gets saved by a rancher, Cade McGovern. He vows to protect Jayne and what he thinks is "her" baby girl but gets suspicious when he realizes Jayne can't be the baby's mother--not when she had been a virgin when they had met.

This is a great book! The plot is interesting and I do so love heroines. The fact that Jayne can wield a gun and knows how to elude enemies in a car chase makes me love it even more. I like Cade who doesn't like to show his feelings and I like how he takes care of the baby.

A nice suspenseful book that you can easily read in a few hours. Although the suspense isn't in finding out who was sabotaging Cade's ranch, because I actually knew who it was for the first time in a book. Although the plot with Jayne and Cade, along with Heather, the baby, was tied down, the plot of the baby ring was not. But I guess since it is a type of series book, I should have expected that.
