Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great sweet romance
Review: In desperate need of a vacation from her royal family, Princess Alexis Mary Charlotte of the House of Chastain and the principality of Inbourg fled to the quiet little town of Sleepy River, Arizona. There she would take up the job of a substitute schoolteacher in a one room school house---keeping her true identity a secret, of course. In Sleepy River, Alexis discovers her true self and just how fulfilling life outside the palace walls could be. Especially once she begins falling for rancher and head of the school board, Jace McTaggart.

Jace finds himself drawn to Alexis-falling for her despite his battles not to. Her beauty, her tender kisses each making him want her more. But she's hiding something and he must know what. When the truth is revealed can two people from such different worlds such as themselves find a way to be together for eternity?

THE RUNAWAY PRINCESS is a sweet, soft romance that draws you in from the first chapter. The characters of Alexis Charlotte and Jace McTaggart are so well defined they suck you in as if they were truly real. The supporting characters act much as comic relief editions bringing a nice change of pace to this story of longing and lasting love.
