Summary: Definitely Lives Up to Its "Sin"
Review: This is the second book of Rosemoor's "Seven Sins" trilogy, where couples who are guilty of the seven deadly sins must overcome them to find love. Here, Flint Armstrong has become slothful ever since the death of his wife and child in an earthquake. His sister-in-law, Nicky Keating, who's always loved him, tries to reach out to him, but he's simply too apathetic about life. But when a dead body is found in his bed, Nicky forces her way back into his life, since Flint doesn't even feel like fighting the charges against him. This is one of Rosemoor's best written books technically, but it suffers from the same sin Flint does. It moves _very_ slowly, and the depressing characters don't exactly make this a pageturner. There's also a lot of needless digressions to a sleep clinic which ultimately go nowhere, and the revelation of the killer is strangely tension-free. Or maybe I was just too lulled to care by then. A good effort by Rosemoor that just doesn't compare to her better books.
