Rating: Summary: Will She Still Love Him When Her Memory Returns? Review: Parker Robinson's sheep dogs brought him to her. She'd been huddled on his Colorado ranch land against the cold. He brought her home, stripped her, bathed her, called the doctor. The doctor said she needed rest, that she'll be okay in a couple weeks, okay physically, but she'd been hit by lightening and had lost her memory, the doctor didn't know what to do about that. Parker finds a tent where she'd been camping, finds a diamond necklace too, with an inscription to someone named Christine. So now he knows her name.A couple weeks pass, Christine gets better, but still doesn't get her memory back. Parker wants to send her off to Denver, to some kind of missing person place. The ranch hands and Parker's father have other ideas. They need a cook at the sheep ranch and Christine is a darned fine one. Then Parker's twelve-year-old daughter Sarah comes home from boarding school and immediately hits it off with Christine. The bond is real and genuine. Parker sees this and has to admit that he is attracted to Christine as well, but he'd been badly burned when his wife, Sarah's mother, walked out on him. He wants nothing to do with women. Besides, Christine was probably married, because nobody who looks as good as she does and cooks as well as she does, could possibly be single. So what does happen when her memory returns? Ah, but that's what the suspense in this excellent romance is all about. Ms. Carol Grace has delivered a very satisfying story. One that I couldn't get enough of. I can't recommend "The Rancher and His Bride" highly enough. A Harlequin Dreamers Review by Shino Tanaka
