Rating: Summary: Adorable Romance with a Sweet Basset Hound Review: What was Annie Malloy supposed to do with half of California? And why on earth did she have to share custody of the crazily named basset-hound star of a dog food commercial with her ex-lover, Sam Bennington? Not that she didn't like animals... Sharing California is an adorable read. Annie left Sam 15 months earlier when she realized he was never going to open up to her the way she needed him to. His reserve was a barrier she could not cross and a lack of communication crushed her trust of him. Sam was devastated by Annie leaving him- he could not understand what he did wrong---- when the death of their dear friend leaves them to share an unusual legacy- California the commercial star of a series of dog food commericals- this Basset Hound brings them back into each others lives . This time it is Annie who is holding herself in reserve and Sam who has to open up and get her to trust that he has changed and his love for her is more valuable than keeping himself safe. He risks his heart and they work their way to lasting happiness. Nice Silhouette Desire with complex emotional relationship that rings true.
