Rating: Summary: A good read on cold winter night. Review: I enjoyed this book. It was not the best thing I ever read but Jones writes so well and she always has an interesting take. This book is not really a romance novel, not really a suspense novel either. She combines many different types of elements into her works so that I believe she could easily appeal to people who like all different genres. It was quite an engaging read despite not being the "romance" novel I was going for. I was not in the least disappointed and in fact bought other books of hers based on the strength of this one that also were outside of my genre.

Rating: Summary: Not worth your time Review: I thought the addition of the occult, a ghost, psychic powers and auras would be a interesting change to a romance novel. Unfortunately Jill Jones did not make it work. I found the two main characters boring and I never did figure out when they feel in love. Don't waste your time. Read "Breath of Magic" instead.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down. Spellbinding! :) Review: I'm not an omnivorous romance reader. I'll only pick up books that really catch my eye. CIRCLE OF THE LILY piqued my interest so much that I sat in the car reading it before I brought it home! It's got a captivating love story, a nailbiter of a suspenseful plot involving the magical workings at the turn of the century, and a real glimpse into the world of psychics and ceremonial magicians. You'll love the hero and heroine and be holding your breath every time the villain steps into the scene! OK, maybe it sounds corny, but I really enjoyed this book. It was the first one by Jill Jones that I've read -- but I'm definitely going to read another!
Rating: Summary: Disappointing, especially since I'm a big fan Review: I've read every book Jill Jones has written so far, and the synopsis for this book intrigued more than any previous title. Unfortunately, I felt it didn't live up to its promise. The author certainly did her homework on the occult, but I think the story suffered as a result. In short, it read too much like non-fiction. I found myself not caring about the characters, and the ending was anti-climactic.
Rating: Summary: Intoxicating:) Review: In 1899 in the remote English countryside, Eloise Beauchamps vanished form her Hartford Hall home, never to be seen again. A few weeks later, Eloise's spouse also disappears. Some of the nearby residents insisted that a logical explanation could be found, but many persisted in their belief that witchcraft is the only acceptable explanation of what happened to the Beauchamps. A century later near Hartford Hall, Claire St. Johns lives a serene life that is only disturbed by ghosts. However, her idyll spinsterhood is abruptly ripped asunder when American Michael Townsend rents her guest house in his search for his missing mother. To her own surprise, Claire decides to assist Michael on his dangerous quest. As they fall in love with each other, Michael and Claire must defeat an ancient malevolent force that wasbrought here by the CIRCLE OF THE LILY sect over a hundred years ago if they are to find a future filled with happiness. Jill Jones has quickly obtained awards from her peers and earned a reputation from her fans for her diverse talents as a romance writer (see the excellent ESSENCE OF MY DESIRE and the exquisite EMILY'S SECRET). Her latest novel, CIRCLE OF LILY, is on the same level of quality that her previous works have attained. The intoxicating story line is filled with pathos and terrifying mysticism that ingeniously blend into an action-packed thriller. The lead protagonists are loaded with depth that requires a building of a relationship between them while the supporting players add a genuine feel even with the otherworldly elements afoot. This book is an incredible accomplishment by one of the top authors on the market today. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Captivating and Unique! Review: Jill Jones has done it again! CIRCLE OF THE LILY is a most unusual blend of mystical, mystery, and the majesty of love. The magnificent cover is only the beginning, and the amazing story within will keep you spellbound. Bravo, Ms. Jones! Warning: This book will rob you of your sleep and invade your dreams!
Rating: Summary: wonderful!! Review: This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I just couldn't put it down. The magic was powerful!! I learned more about the occult in the Circle of the Lily than I have ever known. The characters were incredibly real. This novel had some creepy undertones. It was truly a wonderful read. I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.
