Summary: Fun, entertaining read!
Review: This is the first book I have read by Jane Heller, but I'm sure I will read more now. This is a good, quick read with a little bit of everything -- a good whodunit, romance, humor -- all the things I like in a book. Good job, Jane!

Summary: Very entertaining beach book---even if you like your sister!
Review: This is the first book that I have read by Jane Heller. The characters are real even if they are a little off the wall. I found myself laughing at the fights between sisters. Although they were an extreme example, anyone with a sister can identify with them. The plot is fast moving, and although you can sort of figure out who killed the doctor, you still don't put the book down until the last page. The offer of a free copy to your sister is a very good gimmick by the way.

Summary: This is the third one for me.....
Review: This is the third book for me that I have read from this author. My friend "turned me on" to Jane Heller and I am hooked! I start them and cannot put them down.

This one really rings true to me because I have a sister.

The story is about two women who are sisters and they come together because their mother has a heart attack. She survives and they meet the mother's cardiologist and he takes an interest in them both. They agree not to date him, but they go one night to meet with him, both not telling the other. Unbeknowst to them they find him murdered and they are framed.

Deborah, not wanting this murder on her hands, tries to find the real killer. It is very well written how Jane Heller twists the story line around and finishes with a blast!

I loved this book, I recommend it to all.

Summary: This book MUST be a movie! ! ! ! ! !
Review: This novel is such a great story - comedy, emotion, suspense all in one! If Hollywood doesn't turn "Sis Boom Bah" into a movie, they're out of touch. Thanks Jane, well done!

Summary: Heller Is Female Woody Allen on Jewish Female Family Life
Review: This was a genius idea, especially for an author who does her best work with satire. She takes two Jewish sisters who live in Florida who cannot be in the same room together for even five minutes without starting the newest fight in their ongoing saga of battles. However, their mother, also in Florida, has a heart attack. Sick of putting up with their petty and constant squabbling, the mother lets them think that further squabbles will finish her off with another heart attack. This forces them to try and not fight when with the mother but they are really lousy at getting along. Add to this hilarious premise, the fact that both of them proceed to date their mother's cardiologist, a potential "dream husband." Only problem is that he turns up murdered and it looks like one of them did it! The laughs never stop on this novel. I couldn't put it down.

Summary: Sensational!
Review: What a fun book about sibling rivalry! I loved that the sisters had to 'play nice' for their mother's sake...this book was very cleverly written, good characters, good plot and a good mystery. I had no idea what to expect when I picked this up--but I read it in one night and am ready to read more of Heller's books!

Summary: Sisters??
Review: When I got this book, I was under the impression that it would involve the sisters' relationship a little more than it did. The book was fast paced and humerous but lacking in...something. I dunno. And it was sort of weak, not much of a mystery-no surprise ending or surprise additions, it was basically predictable. Maybe it lacked reality a little, the way Deborah was trying to solve the case and the police were getting tips from HER. The book was well written and a quick read, but it just seemed to have nothing to do with the sister-sister relationship. And to be honest, if my sister acted the way Sharon did, and said the things she said, I would not want to talk to her either...ever. And in like the last chapter she decided to be nice, though she seemed to only be in a total of 5 chapters or something. I dunno. If you're looking for a very funny, quick mystery read, try Janet Evanovich. You'll love her!
