Rating: Summary: A sassy heroine, a mystery, a gorgeous hero with a Jaguar Review: No More Bobs is not just about a woman who can't find the right man (and for whom all the wrong men just happen to share the same name). It's about a single mother, struggling to make ends meet while pursuing her dream. This is a great book--funny, light, sweet, and compelling. The characters in this book are so unique and well-defined that I never had trouble remembering who they all were and what was going on, in spite of having to put the book down for days at a time because of the holidays (and even losing it for an entire week, at one point). Super reading. I can't wait for more by this author!!
Rating: Summary: Engaging, a Feel Good Book! Review: Real characters, engaging storyline and lots of laughs. Reminded me somewhat of Janet Evanovich - a light mystery with romance intertwined. My favorite character was Pete Jorgenson, the Pelican Point policeman. No More Bobs is a fun, intelligent book that leaves the reader feeling good.
Rating: Summary: terrible Review: Terrible book. no plot. no substance I have a feeling the other reviews came from the author herself!Rmon.
Rating: Summary: More Persons Than Mysteries Solved In New Novel... Review: We Men Are On Notice - No More 'Bobs' - anywhere!.....
Cynthia Borris will make you laugh - with her zany plot and characters. With a least one good laugh per page, this book will cure the blues - and maybe the common cold! Her dipiction of men is a classic, and one from which all men, and women, should get ample warning that the old and tired ways of the 'chase' are out with the trash. She lets you meet real men - those who last, and in this case, allows you to laugh at them and with them. It's a fun read all the way, but I haven't picked up a clever story like this in too many months. Creating the mystery, and the events leading up to its solution(?), gives the fortunate reader a brain exercise session straining the best of our second guessers on the outcome. You might as well give up the seconds you open to Page One. The Author outthinks you, races ahead and prepares the trap, not only for the culprits who need catching, but the reader as well. Okay, now you're on your own.... but you gotta buy the book... unless you're into petty 'borrowing.' This one will tickle you long after you know all the answers.
