Summary: Brenda Hiatt is glad to be back with SCANDALOUS VIRTUE.
Review: Hello! I'm Brenda Hiatt, author of SCANDALOUS VIRTUE, my "comeback book." I'd previously written several Regency romances and one time travel romance for Harlequin, but then Life with a capital "L" intervened. Now I'm back, with what I believe is my best book ever, recharged by my brief hiatus. My first single title historical romance, SCANDALOUS VIRTUE tells the story of a sheltered, strait-laced young widow who is ready to kick up her heels for a change, and a notorious rake who is ready to reform. Each sees the other as just the ticket to help make a change--with suprising (and hilarious) results. Their steamy adventures (and a scandal or two) take them from Regency London to Paris and back, as they both learn about life and love. I hope you'll enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it! I love e-mail from my readers, so let me know how you liked the book. (And thanks for reading this far! <g>)

Summary: Good romantic story!
Review: I actually read several of the other books in this series first then came back to read about Jack who was mentioned as the scandolous Lord who fell in love and sequestered himself forever with his lady love. So, it was interesting to read about how this rake overcame his reputation and ended up with the virtuas Nessa. Of course the interesting part was that Nessa wanted to be scandalous and Jack wanted her to save his reputation. Seeing how they gradually got to know one another and how they came together as this great romantic couple was a pleasurable read!! All of these stories from a similar group of Regency friends are wonderful by Brenda Hiatt!!

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I would very much appreciate Amazon.com making available other titles by this author.

Summary: A wonderfully amusing regency romance
Review: I'm not a big fan of historical romance (I usually read contempory romances or mysteries), but I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was very well-written and very funny. The way in which the author handled the hero's past was believable and the hero and heroine were extremely well-matched. It was nice to read a character-driven romance, so many of them relie on contrived events to foster the storyline.

Summary: A captivating story... an excellent read.
Review: Nessa and Jack became my friends for the short time they touched my life. We laughed and cried together listening to Prudence advise... Well written and researched, I highly recommend this book for Regency amd Historical Romance readers...

Summary: Maybe, maybe not
Review: This is an excellent book, and the characters are great! Jack, with the reputation of being a rake, marries Nessa, who has the reputation of being extremely virtuous and straitlaced. Through their interactions with each other before and after their marriage they find that, at heart they are not what they seem to be on the surface. The fact is the two of them are really very much alike and even before the end of the book it is easy to see that they are a perfect couple. I recommend this book highly to anyone who likes historical romances!
