Rating: Summary: *Yawn* Review: African Skies was boring. It was flat, unexciting, and it was truly a chore to read it most of the time. I didn't even finish it (I read about 2/3 then read the last few pages), I was that bored. I didn't care, and the way the book was going it didn't matter. It was patently and disatrously obvious what was going to happen most of the time. But what can you expect when in a "romance" book the characters admit to each other in the first 1/3 that they like each other? Well, you certainly can't expect excitement, interest, or suspense unless inredibly fascinating outside circumstances intervene, which they didn't. The Christianity bored me, most of the characters bored me, the plot bored me. It is probably not worth your time unless you like rather boring characters, little romantic tension/sweetness, or books set in "exotic places,". IMO, that is.

Rating: Summary: Romancejunkie Review: This really should be listed as the sequel to Summit. The story picks up one of the characters from Summit and leads us through her journey of growth and love. I love how the character became aware of the need for compassion for her quirky mother. Her change of heart could lead to her mother's change of life. The touch of suspense at the end was incredible.

Rating: Summary: An excellent read!! Review: This was the first Palisades Romance book I have ever read and BOY! was I impressed! The author really takes you to Africa, complete with the conflicts and daily turmoil there. She also shows you the beauty of the land and the power of God in creation. I fell in love with the characters and I hope she continues to put out such wonderful books. (maybe even a sequel using Farah or Stacy as a main character!) I look forward to her next adventure.
