Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Pretty fluffy read
Review: This book was definitely a light read. The "hero", Jack, didn't do much heroic throughout the book. I didn't have that "Whoah, I want this guy on my side" feeling through most of the book because he primarily watched "the bad guy" without having much interaction with him until the end. The main female character, Carly, was the typical smart, tough girl beaten down by circumstances. The premise of the cattle drive seemed far-fetched. I couldn't understand why the Feds, knowing they had their "bad guy" and the money, let innocent people go off into the wilderness with a highly successful assassin and only one man to watch over them. And, even more important than that, when Carly was undressing Jack, how did she manage to get his jeans off BEFORE his boots? Now that's a good question!
