Rating: Summary: Girl Talk Hits the Mark With First Person Narrative! Review: "The Trophy Abyss," Easton's well written novel, is about a woman, who becomes a trophy for men. The significance of this title goes way beyond the physical aspect of being beautiful to please the apathetic men in her life. As you read, you will begin to uncover very distinct reasons why she must have chosen the word trophy, and used it in this series. It is about the money, the greed, the desires that we all have. It is about the lost love, the broken hearts, the need to please and be accepted. This trophy symbol represents, more than a girl who has decided that her physical appearence, is all that she can offer a man. The main character, Beverly, is willful and determined to keep her innocense in tact. It is about breaking the bondage that holds us back in life or keeps us fearful. Shackles that create our baggage, and subsequent triggers from others that make our pain, so much more than real. It's about one woman's struggle to overcome that which she knows and begin to believe beyond anything she was able to imagine. I absolutely loved reading it and couldn't put it down! I journeyed through a story, so intensly expressed, it has left me begging for more.
Rating: Summary: Conversational First Person Naritive Review: I hope that you come walk with me, down a journey through life's adventures of a single woman who desperately searches for the things she values most in life. The story unfolds through communication that actually gives readers the idea that they are present for the conversation, allowing them to feel the exact emotions that my main character, Beverly, feels. Become friends as you share intimate details and engrossing sub plots as my character shares with the most important friends in her life. This novel is for women of all ages and should not be given to children under the age of 16. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Very Moving Very Engrossing Story! Review: The Trophy Abyss is a very moving book. Rebecca Easton is a very talented writer. I found Beverly so believable that I wanted to take care of her. The trials and tribulations she faces are too real. Anyone, man or woman, can relate to this book. If, after reading this book, you don't feel moved, you might consider having yourself checked out. Ms. Easton, you have done an outstanding job and should be very proud. WELL DONE!! Recommendation: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Tim Hancock is the Director of MWLA, a Reviewer and Author
