Review: I don't normally read romances set in this time period and purchased this book by mistake based purely on the title, hence this review so others don't make the same mistake. Heroine Mrs. Flora Westbury, is cook to the Duke & Duchess of Alvoe, hero a soldier who has been fighting in India. The book describes life in a English country house just after the first world war. Includes the restrictions on servants etc. Some social messages but not to the exclusion of the tale.
