Summary: Excellent book!!!
Review: I am so glad to read a book that has some realism to it. All of the women are well thought out and three dimensional. I loved that Benilde made Abra a true '90s woman who realizes that when a marriage is falling apart and there's nothing you can do.. get out!!! Natasha's relationship is also very realistic and well thought out. When she and Miles get engage and then realize that the pending nuptials may be a mistake all I could say was Benilde has done a great job. So many couples nowadays know that they are marrying too quickly and end up regretting it later on down the line. I can go on and on. Great job, Benilde!!!

Summary: GOOD JOB
Review: I thought this book was better than Good Hair because the characters were more developed. I enjoyed the friendship between the two women though they were very different in their thinking as it related to relationships. The message I received was, make your own way and do not make any one person the center of your life. Stop living in la-la land.

Summary: Terrific book! Fast moving, funny and interesting story!
Review: I really enjoyed The Itch. It's well written, timely and really funny. You have to read Good Hair first to appreciate this book and know some of the characters' stories. Good Hair is a wonderful book. So here you have it, two wonderful books to read and one terrific new author!

Summary: Let the truth be told!!!!
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It almost brought me to tears when Miles decided that he could not marry Natasha. It really hits the heart hard when the absence of a parent in the home affects the child in his lifelong endeavors. I wonder how Benilde was able to capture the heartness of an absent parent in the home (maybe from experience). I give Benilde and her book much praises.

Summary: I'm glad I did more than scratch the Itch.
Review: If you liked Good Hair, don't miss The Itch. Well developed characters. You will be able to identify with at least one of these brothes or sisters. I was sorry I had to finish it. You may think you know what the Itch is...don't be fooled. If you have ever played "Negro Geography" you have got to read this one. This novel clearly illustrates that money does not equal happy. I would also reccomend Milk in My Coffee by Mr. Dickey.

Summary: Can we get a sequel!!!!!!!
Review: Ms. Little has done it again. I read Good Hair a couple of years ago and just completed The Itch. I started the book on a Thursday night and unfortunately had to good to work on Friday so I couldn't read during work but after work, it was on. I couldn't get a thing done due to the fact that I was all into the book. I read all Friday night and finished Saturday. I really enjoyed the book. I kind of felt sorry for Abra but that goes to show us women that we shouldn't revolve our whole life around a man. We have to learn to make ourselves happy. There should definitely be a sequel to this book (SOON!!). I hope Ms. Little continues to keep up the good work. I can't wait for her next book to drop.

Review: If you enjoyed Good Hair you will enjoy The Itch. The author brought back a few characters from her first novel. The Itch was indeed a page turner. You will never guess how the story ends. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy the works of T. McMillan, B. Little and S. Jackson.
