Summary: Romantic yet edgy--a great read!
Review: It's a love story, a grown-up fairy tale, erotic, but still in good taste. I'm not sure how else to describe this novel, except to say that I couldn't put it down! This is definitely a fresh take on romance--especially since it's not your average romance novel. The characters are hip and memorable, the plot tightly drawn. It captures what it's like to be young, single, and, er, kinky, in the US capital.

If you have an open mind or just want a story that's not the same old formula, this could be the novel for you.

Summary: Makes a great gift
Review: My girlfriend gave me this book to read, and I think my love life will never be the same! It reads really fast, and it has nice illustrations inside that add a lot of flavor. The story doesn't feel like fiction, somehow, and makes us want to take a trip to DC to see if the places mentioned really exist. Either way, this is a great gift to that special someone with whom you want to introduce a little added spice. It might change your life...it certainly did mine!

Review: This book is a sexy and intelligent read. It is written by a man from a man's perspective, and so I do wish I could have seen more of the female characters' thoughts and motivations. Women's concerns in these sorts of relationships do get presented here. But men's do more so, and the sexual politics makes the story both riveting and a bit one-sided.

I don't mean to quibble, however. Six O'clock Magic is really well written, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a bigger publisher snap this up or maybe some indie film made of it, a la Secretary.
