Rating: Summary: A Place Called Fairhavens Review: This book is definitely a "Don't put me down until you're finished." Krebill has created a refreshing plot and done a great job of tying together his knowledge of geography and life in two areas half a world apart. The book is written from a practical Christian perspective and can be appreciated by both clergy and lay people. It portrays the struggles which face young pastors as they seek to "fit into" the societies in which they find themselves. At the same time, there is a wonderful intercontinental romance and one wonders how it will be resolved. This, in addition to several well-developed sub-plots, keep the reader wondering what will happen next. Minor flaws in editing, which seem to be present in most current publications, certainly do not detract from the story. I have known the author and his wife since we were college classmates and am proud to present this first review of the book on this site.
