Review: Hey! That could almost be my life! But I don't have flowing tresses and a handsome Scottish Laird chasing after me. In case you can't tell, I identified and enjoyed this book. This was the first historical romance novel I have ever read and I am now hooked. This book had deception, passion, love, revenge. I liked the characters a lot. Juliana Wintingue (sp?) was strong and sassy (though I wonder if not maybe a bit too much for that time period) and Ian MacConnell was totally hot. He was egotistical but not sickeningly so, breath-takingly strong without being a knuckle-head. Sigh.... A very good book and fantasy.

Review: I love all things Scottish. I love history. I love rousing tales of romance. Willing Captive satisfied my longings on all accounts. It is a wonderful story with vivid characters. The hero is brawny and awe-inspiring, the heroine strong but likeable. A very good book. I am hooked on this author now.

Review: Leah Marie Brown's first effort with "Willing Captive" is an outstanding book. If you like Romance and Revenge, this is the one book for you. This story is so well written, and the characters and descriptions so vivid, you won't be able to put it down. From the first paragraph, it continues to leave you wanting more. I was quite impressed in her abilities to convey the feelings and emotions of the characters, and the exacting descriptions, so much so, that I thought I was there. Quite a gripping tale! I can tell you that I have read many books and this is truly one of the best. The story flows well, and the book is very nicely done, and would make a wonderful gift. If you want to read a great story, buy this book!

You'll find yourself being pulled into the book by her two main characters, Juliana Wintingue and Ian MacConnell.

You'll come away from this romance novel not only having found yourself a new passionate romance author but you'll be screaming for more. If you enjoyed the book as much as I did, you'll feel yourself become Juliana and go sailing the high seas. A great historical romance!
