Rating: Summary: A retired Boston Globe Editor's Opinion Review: In Ride The Restless Tide Margaret Devereaux has written a page turner about the Marblehead of many years ago, a town whose sailors braved all the elements at sea including British "press gangs". This is more than a story about people and the sea, it's a tale well told about the resilience of the human spirit and the quiet strength of men and women facing adversity head-on and finding their joy.

Rating: Summary: History - Drama - Romance! Review: Margaret Devereaux's inherent love of the sea and sailing ships shines through her novel RIDE THE RESTLESS TIDE from cover to cover. The story, rich in history, drama, and romance, is a splendid documentary of lives and times during the 18th and 19th centuries in Marblehead, a unique New England town. I found this work most interesting and enjoyed the read tremendously. This book deserves 5 stars! A reader from the Tampa Bay Area, Florida
Rating: Summary: 4th place award in national fiction contest January 7, 2000 Review: Ride The Restless Tide has been in print only since early March. I'm thrilled with fan mail coming in by e-mail. If you like history, adventure and romance, you will enjoy this book. It came from my heart, and it's about my hometown.
Rating: Summary: A Brigadier General's comments on Ride The Restless Tide Review: Ride The Restless Tide is at once a scholarly work of historical fiction, a compelling novel of suspense, and a fascinating slice of Post-Revolution Americana. The author is conversant with the technical details of sailing ships, tuned to the niceties of family life, and alert to the need of the reader to be kept in suspense and enjoyment.
