Summary: A story about love and lost...
Review: I was hesitate about reading this book after I read what it was about and then read the reviews. Some reviews were good and some were bad(saying it was a too much like the movie/book Love Story). Well, I saw that movie and A crack in forever was a whole lot better! I cried for three days reading this book. The ending was the saddest one I read in a long time. I would say this book is for people who are true romantics and don't mind reading a book that makes them cry.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You can't help but fall in love with this book!
Review: Just....amazing. I was so touched when I read this book. Jeannies style of writing makes the charachters seem so real to the reader. Her descriptions jump of the page, you feel as if you actually know Alex and Eric. I needed an entire box of kleenex and the book so so worn out as Ive leant it to anyone that will take it off me. Excellent book, a must read!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Have a whole BOX of Kleenex handy
Review: One of the blurbs on the back of this book says that it is the "Love Story" of the 90's. In a way, it is - it's the story of a couple in love, the hero Eric is estranged from his rich family, and the heroine is from a middle class background. Then Eric gets sick. However, I felt that "Love Story" manipulated my emotions. And there was a lot of focus on the class differences between two main characters in "Love Story."

A Crack in Forever focuses much more on the love between the two main characters, and on how it changes and grows when Eric gets sick. There is very little conflict that results from any class differences between the two. I never felt like my feelings were being manipulated. Instead, I just cared about these two people, and I cared about what was happening to them when one of them found out he'd contracted AIDS. Of course, it's a sad story. One of the main characters is dying. But it is also a celebration of two people's love, and this part of the story is just as compelling as the rest.

In the end, this is a very simple book. It gives us a peek at one very loving relationship and two very brave people who must learn to fight and accept a disease as stygmatizing and debilitating as AIDS. It's a view that will be permanently imprinted on your mind.

Summary: I hoped I would like it more!
Review: This book came to me with rave reviews from my sister in law. A book is always diappointing when you are expecting it to be better than it actually is.

It's a story of Alexandra and Eric who meet when he is hired as her model for an illustrative journal. He is formulative gorgeous, of course, and she is taken with him. Quickly they fall in love and move in together, forsaking all others.

Basically the first part of the book is all about their love affair, and the latter is about him dealing with AIDS and Alex's commitment to him.

It is a sweet, teary sort of story which does it's job, reminding all us fortunate healthy people not to take ourselves or each other for granted. I found it a bit too soap-operatic though, full of so much drama that it all became unbelievable and schmaltzy towards the end.

Summary: The most beautiful book I've ever read!
Review: This book is the only one I have ever wanted to buy copies to share with others. The true love Ms. Brewer portrays between Alex and Eric makes me search for my own "Eric" out there somewhere. A must read for those who do believe in love!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Nothing like I've read before
Review: This book is wonderful! As you read on, you just fall in love with Eric and Alex and you actually feel pity for them. This is really good for the first book Brewer has written. This is even better than the Sandra Brown ones! It really combines sexy romance and a really touching story. Anyone who hasn
t read it must do so!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book I have ever read! It stays with you forever.
Review: This book was so emotional but wonderful all the same. The characters were very real and you can truly feel close to these people. I cried so much at the end that it took me a week before I would start another book. I just didn't want to stop thinking about it. It has definately opened my eyes to Aids in a completely different way. This is a book you don't want to miss! Thank you!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Read this book and you'll never have unprotected Sex again!!
Review: This book was soo moving, I cried so hard! It is a wonderful Love-Story ,plus you can totally feel with the characters.I felt so desperate towards the end of the book,'cause Eric's death is described so exactly, you feel involved with AIDS after reading the book. What made me identify myself with the characters was that the book isn't about gays,or drug users(not directly),or any other typical social group, but about two young people like most of us are.I realized that it can happen to anyone, and I wouldn't take any risk. It's definitely an incredibly good book, and everyone who's dealing with Love&Sex (I think all of us do)should read this book.
