Summary: All I can say is WOW
Review: EJD latest book is AWESOME. Once you start you can not put it down until you are finished. His development of the characters will draw you in and keep you turning the pages. I would love to see another story with Freckle's friend Yvette.

EJD keep doing what you are doing and I can't wait until your next book "Naughty or Nice" comes out.

Peace

Summary: CAN'T GET ENOUGH
Review: Oh My God. I don't know how to express my feelings about this book. All I can say is that everything around me was a distraction. (Working, eating, sleeping) I had dreams about this book and the characters. The plot unfolds into things you would not dream of. "Freckles" gets hit with a dose of reality, finding out her perfect husband and sucessful career is not so perfect. It starts when she finds out he is cheating and it takes you on a roller coaster ride from there. The beginning is slower, much slower, than the rest of the book. Do not stop reading whatever you do. EJD has much respect from me. I am starting to read The Coldest Winter Ever and I keep thinking about The Other Woman. The Other Woman is one of the best books I have read.

Summary: A man who thinks like a woman!!!
Review: In this novel he truly out did hisself. Writing a novel from a female perspective can be very difficult for a man, but he did it. The story is very exciting, I couldn't put the book down. Of course EJD holds nothing back and brings it to you real, no sugar coating. I also like the way he mentions characters from other books he written. Very beautiful writing.

Summary: EJD's at the Top of His Game
Review: EJD shows why he's held in such high regards by millions with this story. Before The Other Woman, Cheaters was my all-time favorite EJD novel. I repeat..."was". Eric does an excellent job of drawing you into these characters. Your emotions will run high while reading this one. I finished it in one day and can tell you that it was well worth the read. THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GIVE SOMETHING AWAY? Nope.

Summary: For the mature audience
Review: I am a fan of Dickey, and so I was not surprised that I really liked this novel. Unlike some of the other books, the characters in this novel were older, more mature, and professional. Let's face it, we can expect a little bit of [untruths], lies and infidelity among single men and women who are not committed, but Dickey exposed the married couples' weaknesses. I thought that it was very realistic and didactic. The characters paid for thier deamons, and the author offered possible reasons why some marraiges fail...lack of communication, and the desire to place professional lives before our own.

maturely written

Summary: Another EJD Winner!
Review: I have read and enjoyed all of EJD's books. This is not my favorite but certainly it is the most provocative. I read it in one day... I just couldn't put it down. EJD is masterful at developing his characters with a faithful portrayl of reality. They stay in your memory long after you have finished reading the last page.I think to have the female protagonist remain nameless is a very clever detail. I felt her intense pain over her husband's betrayal and think she reacted in a very real and apprehensible way. I found myself cheering for her!

I rarely like the way EJD's books end and this one was no exception; however the ending was completely unexpected and unpredictable. This is a must read!

Summary: Loved it!!
Review: The Other Woman had me captivated from the first line. I couldn't put it down. When I was finished, I wanted more. Very good book. I am now a huge fan of Eric Jerome Dickey.

Summary: Excellent book
Review: I was curious about the subject matter having recently been thorugh a similiar life situation. The story is compelling, and the characters well fleshed out. The main characater is a black female, but the book is written by a male. I had to keep checking the back photo, I kept expect to see the photo change to the female protagnonist in my mind ! The end was a slight let down, I would have preferred a slightly different ending, but I was amazed at how exciting the plot was. I literally could not put the book down until I finished it. I plan on reading other books by the author, I enjoyed it immensely !

Summary: A Must Read
Review: When I first picked up this book, I was expecting the typical story of a man who cheats and the drama that comes with it. But much to my surprise, this book was the total opposite of that. The way the narrator handled herself was totally that of a real woman. She didn't go after the other female, she went straight to the source, HER HUSBAND. Yes, she had her moments of weakness, but who wouldn't in this situation. At least she understood what emotions were running through her and she understood the decisions she was making. I must admit that the end caught me by total surprise. My mouth was hanging wide open, I couldn't believe what had just happened. I had to pick it up a week later and re-read it to make sure I read it right the first time.

I would just like to add a note to this review. I have two male friends who were killed this year because of their cheating ways. And it wasn't the girlfriend who did it, in both cases it was THE OTHER WOMAN. Although in this book David (Jessica's husband) committed the crime, the point still remains the same. People have the right to be entitled to their emotions, and playing with them can be a deadly game. People, please be careful of who you do and how you do it.
