Rating: Summary: Another great one from EJD Review: The unnamed protagonist and her husband Charles were once blissfully in love and two against the world. Now, the demands of her reporting career have helped them drift apart in this novel of love, betrayal, and revenge. When she keeps receiving strange messages at work, she finally calls the man responsible and finds out that Charles is having an affair with his wife. In her grief and rage, she confronts Charles, who admits to the affair, but says that it's over and Jessica never mattered to him. While searching for reasons and clues to their relationship, she stumbles into her own affair with David, Jessica's husband. So, the trick is from here to find out who's using who! The story comes to a crashing, revengeful ending that will have you holding your breath - don't read ahead! Another great part of the book is her relationship with her best friend - I don't know how Eric Jerome Dickey knows so much about female relationships, but he's got the dynamics dead on. The dialogue flows throughout with lots of sexual references and street language which I think helped me to get into the characters better - I really knew what they were thinking and feeling.
Rating: Summary: Lesson Review: This book was good but I have read better i.e. Carl Webber (all of his book)........anyways it gives you a lesson about cheating and other things.........I enjoyed the book it just wasn't a page turner...
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: Like all of EJD's books, this one was just as great as the others. Plenty of action and drama. If you're a big EJD fan, you won't be disappointed with this book. And if you aren't a fan or have never read any of his books, you'll definitely become a faithful EJD follower after reading this book. The only thing I didn't like about it was that he doesn't give the narrator a name (he did the same thing to the narrator in Between Lovers, too.) I HATE that! I like to know the names of the people I'm reading about!
Rating: Summary: EJD has outdone himself with "The Other Woman" Review: I can't say enough how deeply I felt for the characters in "The Other Woman". This booked moved me in ways that still warms my soul and is making it hard to pick up my next book. I'm still crying for these powerful characters and their amazing journey. My head is bowed to you, Mr. Dickey. You are truly a lyrical genius!
Rating: Summary: Loving "The Other Woman" Review: This was the first EJD novel I have ever read, and it will not be the last. I could not put this book down, the pages are full of love, lust, friendship, betrayal, disappointment, and hope. There are twists and turns through out the book that keep your eyes glued to the page. One will get sucked into the story feeling like they can relate to a part of each character. EJD is an phenomenal author.
Rating: Summary: Ladies i hope you were paying attention Review: This book was an eye opener about how we get so tangled up in our careers that we forget that our home is a job as well. As women we assume that a marriage certificate is all we need to ensure that he will be there when you get there. This book demostrated how "If one want another will be glad to".
Rating: Summary: ITS A BOMB BOOK FA SHO! Review: ERIC JEROME DICKEY ALWAYS COMES WITH IT FOR REALS. ONE OF THE BEST AUTHORS IN MY BOOK, I'VE READ ALL OF HIS BOOKS AND HAD NO DISSAPPOINTMENTS CAUSE HE BRINGS ALL THE TIME. THIS BOOK WAS VERY GOOD KINDA SLOW IN THE BEGINNING BUT IT CAME UP WITH INTEREST VERY FAST, OF COURSE THIS BOOK IS WORTH READING.
Rating: Summary: Perhaps Mr. Dickey's best book yet. Review: The book glued me to its pages, forcing me to read the entire novel in one sitting. Although there was a lot of foreshadowing(i.e. warnings and signposts of what would eventually happen,) I did not expect the novel to end as it did. Maybe I expected one of EJD's hip and funny stories that characterize so many of his books--except Thieves Paradise. As in any good book, the characters are multifaceted and a mixture of good and evil. In this novel the antagonist is INFIDELITY and what it does to people.
Rating: Summary: Ten Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book was a fastpaced pageturner. I could not put this book down my best friends were getting upset with me because I would not talk to them. I kept saying five more minutes. This book is well worth your money because it can be read over and over again. Imagine thinking all is well with your significant other until someone calls you on the phone telling you otherwise. That phone call starts the ball spiraling down a big hill for Freckles. The rest of the story you will have to buy the book to find out. This book had my mouth hanging open literally.
Rating: Summary: "A Touch of Perfection" Review: Out of the thirty or so books I've read this year, this book is beyond words. It was so refreshing to read and know that there are still true writers in the world. A standing ovation should be given to the author for his astounding words.
