Summary: Strictly Dickey
Review: I was not a fan at all of EJD's last book, Thieves Paradise. The entire concept of the tale was lame, the plot was weak, the characters were uninteresting, and the overall writing just did not hold my attention.

EJD has done a complete 360! I applaud his latest effort. The writing was brilliant. The wording was almost poetic. He amazingly and effortlessly succeeded at writing first person using a woman protagonist. Yvette was the perfect supporting character. Any sista could use a friend like her. Eric Jerome Dickey knows women, he knows sensuality, he knows romance, he knows drama, and he is the voice of all scorned brothas. Hear him roar in this tale of a beautiful marriage of two successful individuals that turned sour almost overnight in the blink of an eye. Following "Freckles" through her journey of happiness, heartbreak, pain, agony, contempt, fulfillment, and self-discovery opened my eyes. The ending left me speechless. Anyone who says this book was "predictable" must have been "the other woman" at some point....

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is Eric Jerome Dickey's best book. The emotional and psychological suspense this book provides, as well as the ability to leave one thinking about one's life and relationships, makes this book an excellent creation. If you ever wanted to know about the intricacies as well as the devastion of an affair, read this book.

Summary: Don't Just Hate The Game, Hate the Players, too!
Review: Mr. Dickey has come through with a novel that makes the last two even three novels of his pale in comparison. I've always enjoyed the ease of his style and the sensitivity with which he writes from a female point of view. Here again, he does not disappoint. The characters were incredibly well written, memorable, and quite vivid. The sex was good, the dialogue was good, and the plot twists were fantastic. I appreciate the way his main character (who remained nameless throughout the novel, another fine touch)was hurt beyond belief, but never weakened in the sense that she became a cliche or lived up to old-fashioned, worn out expectations. I loved this book. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is because I thought toward the end, it went a little Hollywood and fell off a bit. Not by much, though. This novel was a wake up call in some respects. And I can't help but wonder what would have happened in Fatal Attraction if the Internet had been then what it is today? Word to the wise and food for thought for all the playas out there. Male AND female. Better be careful. :) Is it really worth it?

Summary: EXCELLENCE AGAIN!
Review: I have read all of EJD's books and have enjoyed most of them. I was kinda disappointed with his last book but THE OTHER WOMAN was outstanding. I couldn't put it down. It was not predictable at all and the drama continued throughout the book all the way to the end. The characters were well developed and he addressed issues that are very relevant in today's society! GREAT JOB!!!!!

Summary: Another EJD Great!
Review: This is the best novel so far that he has written! His writing style has changed and everything is so descriptive. I felt the pain that Freckles felt and I longed for the love, affection and attention that she recieved from DL. The twists and turns floored me. I thought I could predict what was going to happen but I was SO wrong. This book is surely a page turner and it will be hard to put it down. Enjoy!

Summary: Man...It's a must-read!
Review: I was completely taken aback by this book. The writing was so conversational that I kept trying to become Freckles. Of course we've all been in a relationship plagued by infidelity, but the decisions we make as a result of a broken heart never seemed soooo terrible until you read this book. So okay, it's about the other woman (hence the title), but it's about more than that: lies, deceit, betrayal, scorned lovers that you always figure will find their way back to one another. Yet, Dickey is not about happy endings. He's about the truth, and this book came so close to it it was scary. I don't want to give it away, but buy it, read it, keep it forever. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed.

Summary: No joke
Review: I would recommend this book to everyone this was a well written book. The characters were so alive and DL was crazy for real, but that is the typical man,(I am not male bashing)can dish it out but can't take it when it happens to them. I think he went a little overboard but he was scorned. ha-ha. This is truly a good read.

Summary: E. Jerome Dickey remains the best
Review: Mr. Dickey has done it again. The brother is great at the art of writing.
He makes you deeply understand every character. I felt for each character and was very surprised by David's behavoir at the end of the book. He seemed so strong with his revenge tactics I never expected him to kill himself maybe the others but not himself.
Fantastic WORK!!

Summary: One of his best.
Review: This is one of the best books that he has written thus far. E. J. Dickey has really come into his own.The characters are well developed and there are twists and turns up to the last chapter. I have read everything he has had published and this is his best piece of fiction. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I did not like the ending.

Summary: Dickey gets better and better!
Review: The Other Woman is a story of a woman who believes because she does everything she thinks her man desires and needs, her marriage is intact. That is until she gets a phone call that changes and rocks her world in a different direction forever. With another nameless main character, Dickey weaves a completely believable tale fusing alternate and traditional views of marriage and relationships in the new millenium. By paying attention (but not too much)to every detail, Dickey completely awakens and heightens the reader's five senses, leaving no stone unturned. The book just works. Dickey's use of prose is not overkill, it moves the story along while each detail is placed appropriately and with purpose. In Dickey's acknowledgements, he advises us that he studied a Robert McKee book on structure and style. Dickey also advises that his best reminder in McKee's book was the principle of "reversal of expectation." Well Dickey you've done McKee proud because your ending as well as many different turning points in your story were delightfully unexpected.
