Summary: WHAT A DEBUT NOVEL!
Review: This book was beyond good. The story moved fast so that it kept me turning the pages even after I said "this is my last chapter tonight." I ended up reading the book in one sitting, because I could not put it down. I hurt for Jada and Wellington, because I felt they really loved one another and had it not been for the manipulations of others the relationship would have endured. I didn't like the fact that the in the battle between good and evil, the evil seemed to always come up on top. This was a very good story. You will be cheering for Jada and Wellington, and want to scratch Melanie's eyes out and slap Cynthia into next week. Get the book. I can't wait to read the sequel.

Summary: The one thing missing was the introduction from Hugh Hefner.
Review: This novel was good, yet it really took me aback, because I didn't know that the sex scenes were more or less graphic, depending on which side of the fence you sit on. It didn't disturb me, it just suprised me. Instead of notes and comments from the author found in the back, a centerfold would have fit in better. The story iteslf chonicled the love of Jada and Wellington and the soap opera factors that usually come in between such a couple. I would have given it five stars, but certain aspects of the novel came into play that I couldn't get past. During the threesome, it didn't seem like Jada to want to participate with a woman who she felt was after her man to begin with. Then, when reading, there seem to be a lot of conversation, but lapses in time. The dialogue would begin in the penthouse and would not take a break, yet the writer states in the next line that the conversation had continued out to the character's cars. I've heard of reading between the lines, but the lines moved faster than Speedy Gonzalez, and I felt like I had missed something, especially when I know I didn't.

Summary: Where were the SOUL MATES?
Review: Jada Diamond Tanner has everything going for her. Her career as a fashion
photographer is exploding, she's beautiful and intelligent, and she could
have her pick of any man in California. The problem is she has yet to find
that one man...her soul mate. Enter Wellington Jones, an extremely handsome
and successful man who manages to slither his way into Jada's heart the first
night that they meet.

Jada and Wellington's relationship blooms rapidly and the two find their love

connecting on all levels. When they announce to their families their decision
to marry, Jada finds his mother less than enthused, and soon after, Jada and
Wellington's relationship is put to the test as sex, lies, deceit, and conception
play a climactic role in their love.

I have to say I had high expectations for this book. I LOVED the title, it was a
national bestseller and the word-of-mouth for the novel had me anxious to read it. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. I found myself not liking the majority
of the characters, including the two main characters (though I would have LOVED a
novel on Jada's mom and her "friend"). I was under the impression that the reader
was to believe that Jada and Wellington truly loved one another, that they were
indeed soul mates; however, the only thing I found between the two was sex (which
this book has a LOT of), and as a result, I couldn't empathize or sympathize or
care much about the pair.

I wished for like 50-100 more pages, because the story read too fast and made the
situations in the book too unbelievable for me. But I will say this, I read the
book in practically one sitting. There's something CATCHING about the novel that
will make you continue reading it to the very end.

I would be interested in reading future works by Morrison to see how her writing
style evolves through other projects, but as for SOUL MATES DISSIPATE, I have to
rate it a 2.5 on the RAW Scale.

Summary: I was hooked...
Review: From the moment I picked up the book. I could not force myself to put this book down. It was so good I read it in less than a day. If you get the chance read this book. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Soul Mates Dissipate -- a page turner to say the least! I opened this book last night at 5 PM and could not put it down until 2 AM this morning. The sex scenes were steamy; so brace yourself. This is a true love story of a black man that is romantic, but still a man who thinks with the wrong head instead of his heart from time to time. Jada is a real black woman that's a little naive, but showed her... when it was necessary. After every chapter I kept saying, "I'll put it down after this" it never happened. I was in too much suspense not to finish it. I loved it... Mary, you go girl, if this is your first, I can hardly wait for your second.

Summary: Good storyline
Review: The storyline was okay, but the words had no flow. I hope the next book will be edited a bit better. I enjoyed the book.

Summary: I need a Panty liner!
Review: Can everyone say HOT. Mary Morrison will have you reading and re-reading Soulmates Dissipate for years to come. I can't wait for the sequel. I am still trying to find an architect to design me a bathroom with six showerheads and a shower bench. Soulmates dissipate is diffinately a must read book about deception, romance and erotica. But remember, have your lover near.

Summary: I Gotta Take A Cold Shower...
Review: You know, it took me a while to pick up this book, having purchased a copy back in June, at an author's signing with Ms. Morrison. I must tell you, this was supposed to be a reading en route to a Book signing, BUT I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!! Painting vivid love scenes with SPICE CHANNEL-like imagery, her unique style of sensuous writing turned up the heat even higher this summer evening... A BROTHA'S GOTTA COOL OFF, BABY!!! (Smile)

They say an author gets better with each work. Mary, you really spoiled me with your initial crafting of sex, passion and emotion. You have my word:I won't wait so long with the sequel...

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: I am confused
Review: Why was Jada referred in the book at one point as a Christian Woman? Why did Jada agree to do the do with Wellington and you know who? The book has it moments, however, I guess the sequel will piece it all together. This book is full of sex. This one was very confusing especially about a church woman with worldly ways. Will those who write about christian women identify them from church women because there is a difference. We all are not perfect but lets not be confusing. There are other parts in the book that did help it out once you got beyond all the sex drama.
