Review: This is one of my favorites of her works. It is a dramatic story about a girl who marries a Laid of an enemy clan to save her brother from retribution and her clan from war. It takes place in tension ridden Scotland around the time of the Regent's visit. But what if the Regent is going to be assassinated and her husband, who she is learning to love, framed...

I love the historical feel of this novel. She really portrays the Scots fierce love for home-- and some antipathy towards England.
