Summary: Thrilling Tale of Love's Triumph
Review: Catherine Spencer's story of Jenna and Edmund's romance is a superb tale of two people drawn together in a moment intense passion. The passion bursts forth from Edmund's compassion for a beautiful stranger in despair, Jenna. Oh, the consequences that come from this night. What an exciting course this relationship takes as these enraptured strangers learn more about each other. This novel is at once a tale of tenderness and of toughness. It is about how 2 people can combine the best of both traits in truly stirring and challenging relationship.

This book has another of Catherine Spencer's superb plots, true to life with such real people facing such human situations. The portrayals of both Jenna's snobbish family and the bridegroom who jilts her at the altar are humorous - but oh how true to life. It will bring a smile of recognition for all brides who have dealt with difficult parents and siblings. The recognition is that some relatives have more concern for what they can get from the union of the bride and groom than concern for the bride's happiness.

This is a story that shows people do grow because of each other's love. Edmund and Jenna's love is described with the most exciting yet tender details of their passion! The ending is just so super. Read this book. You'll be moved by every page. you'll want to weep at times and then to laugh other times and finally to shout for joy at the unexpected ending.

Catherine Spencer is a genius at describing human emotion and showing us how any of us can have setbacks and falter and then unexpectedly triumph. The Pregnant Bride is her best of many fine romance novels.

Summary: Great hero
Review: The Pregant Bride is another great book by Catherine Spencer. The marriage of convenience plot is familiar to many readers of romance. What lifts this far above the average is the intensely realistic portrayal of the hero. He is totally human, multi-dimensional, and so real he jumps off the pages and into our hearts. The reader lives his dilemma and, while he makes mistakes, he learns from them and is changed by his relationship with the heroine and by his love for her. A superb, deeply emotional read.
