Summary: A Compelling Love Story
Review: A SMALL FLIRTATION is a love story so compelling I could not put it down until the last page. Her first novel, Given writes with insight, humor and clarity. I look forward to more from her.

Summary: A Small Flirtation
Review: A Small Flirtation was hard to put down! It is one of those uncommon novels that is gripping yet light, poignant yet upbeat. It is very well written, with a totally unexpected ending! A great read!

Summary: A Page Turner
Review: Buff Given has woven a tale of love, passion and excitement. A Small Flirtation is a page turner, a book I couldn't put down.My criteria for a good novel is to be so captivated by the characters and the action, so that when the book is finished, I want to get back to the characters. I've missed them. The love scenes are exquisite, passionate and poignant. And the crashing crescendo of the ending was surprising and satisfying.

Summary: Tedious at very best
Review: Buff's initial foray into fiction lacks. Her characters exist in a pollyanna world, desparately seeking development or at least an adjective.

For someone who reads two books per week for most of my adult life, this one has dragged on for nearly a month. I don't recommend it. This is a boring book.

Summary: A wonderful story
Review: I was able to read "A Small Flirtation" in two days. Ms. Given's captures the hopes, the dreams and the endless search of Jenny for that once in a lifetime soulmate. Painfully honest at times, the reader is able to feel the depth of Jenny's anguish and confusion when confronted with the realities of her situation. This is a story of "difficult love" and the triumph of the relationship between man and woman. It is a book I will share with my "best girlfriends".
