Summary: It's About Time!
Review: SISTER GUMBO is a must read for any woman that has ever pondered the mysteries of love and wondered, "Am I the only one this stuff happens to?" No, we are not alone. The moving testimonies in this entertaining book gave me affirmation, motivation, and more than a few chuckles. Kudos to the authors for unveiling the truth and provoking us to think about the choices we make. I enjoyed the book and the gumbo recipe in the introduction is pretty good too!

Review: Sister Gumbo speaks for it self, giving us the real truth on life and sex. The interviews given by each of these ladies were right on point. Sister Gumbo touched on every emotion we have as women no matter the age. The life examples given in this soul searching book should be read by women from ages 15 to 92.Ladies, I only wish I could have read this book some 30 years ago. Summary: For Divas Only Book Club
Review: Sister Gumbo was a wonderful read. Our hats are off to these two authors. The stories in this book were much needed. We think every woman, of every race could benefit from this great book. Our book club also had the awesome experience of having Ursula and Mirranda join us for a discussion. We can see why Sister Gumbo has been such a sucess, the authors positivity and kindness was contagious! Our most memorable meeting yet!

Review: This book was excellent! I didn't acutally think this book would as good as it was! i read every single chapter from story to story. I give these women two thumbs up for taking out the time to interview each woman in this book! i loved it!!!!

Summary: Coffe table conversation book!
Review: What caught my eye in the beginning of the book was not the recipe for gumbo (although I did need one), but the first section is titled self. I do not know if this was intentional on the behalf of the writers, but before you can speak on any other aspects of life and its ills, you have to examine self.
Through the stories of the women in the book, you are able to perhaps draw parallel between friends, family members, co-works or even yourself! Seems we are all dealing with the same issues. Ursula and Mirranda give readers a big bowl of gumbo with Sister Gumbo! -LC
