Summary: Cool
Review: This book about a young boy named after the barbarian Attila was a great read, except for the beginning. A good portion of the beginning was interesting, that is if you enjoy reading about the Hungarian Revolution. But it's worth it, because once the book gets to its destination, America, I couldn't put it down.
The problem with the beginning is that you don't know what's going on, your trying to memorize foreign names, and figure out where they are going and why. It's too much at once and once you get to America most of the first characters get pushed aside and the story focuses again on Attila. But the love story and how the couple went through their own personal struggles were inspiring to me and I bet to many others. It's always nice to read about what most of us go through every day through someone else's eyes.

Summary: Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story
Review: A sad beginning makes a memorable ending. That is precisely what I thought of the book, Attila. In the book, the character of Attila experiences the daily struggles of growing up, which all of us can relate to. While reading the novel of Attila I was really interested in the story line and in the life of Attila. This novel really gave me an insight into the hardships that Attila had to endure and in turn I, as a reader, was able to have a better understanding of this character. The author was very expressive about all the situations and wrote about them very freely without ever holding back his opinion. I thought that the chapters that included Millie captured the wonderful love the author and this character had for one another. Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story is truly a wonderful novel and I recommend it highly to everyone who believes in love.

Summary: Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story
Review: Attila proved itself to be a marvelous and compelling work of art. The title alone grabbed my attention from the moment I first purchased the novel. Hargitai imprisoned the struggle of life not only as an immigrant trying to find himself in a new environment, but also as a confused hormone driven adolescent. This is a story filled with passion, love, and adventure. I recommend this book to everyone; it's a great inspiration from start to finish.

Review: This book is definately an attention getter! It's a bit different from other love stories. It's about a young boy who deals with many obstacles in his life. He deals with the move from his home in Hungary to a foreign place in the United States. He has to learn to keep his Hungarian ways and still try and maintain a normal life. When Atilla meets Millie, the book turns into a whole new adventure. Falling in love and enduring many obstacles are just some of the things that happen in this book. If you like reading about adventure, love, and surprises then this book is definately for you.

Summary: Great Story
Review: This was a great story. The author, Peter Hargitai, does a great job in describing the different parts of his life. The beginning of this book is filled with action because his family is trying to escape Hungary. The middle of the book shows how he and his family had to cope with living in a new country. Attila, the main character, also finds love this book. It's probably one of the most romantic love affairs I've ever read. This was a great book. It has a little of something for everyone. It has action, sadness, love, and so much more.

Summary: Somewhat surprised
Review: Although i must admit i was a bit reluctant to read a book that was titled " barbarian love story". However surprisingly enough to my amazement Peter Hargitai novel was quite entertaining. I'm especially fond of the character Attila, through tagic loses with his "blue cousin" to his amazing talent with playing soccer, inspired by everythng but greed. I definitly recommend this book to any fiction reader

Summary: Good Read!
Review: Love stories are always interesting to hear, there is always some kind of drama. With "Attila, A Barbarian's love story" love is a struggle. The book opens with a dramatic escape from Hungary to "the New Land", and continues with the many conflicts encountered by Attila and his family. Life was hard for them throughout the book, with Attila's new "Americanize" way it is hard for his family to comprehend that the new land has become part of him. With the introduction of Millie, new and exciting things start to happen, and of course that's when the story gets fascinating. Many striking incidents happen; from parent walk-ins to well... you get the picture. You'll just have to read the story to find out what type of tuffs goes on between then. Its funny stuff, do not miss it!

Summary: A Master Peace, November. 23, 2003
Review: The novel Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story by Peter Hargitai is a work of a talented author. I extremely recommend that all education institutions should make students read this novel. While I was reading the book I realized that Peter Hargitai have no type of weaknesses in the story, everything was just perfect. Attila life describes teenagers life today, it explain why we do the things we do. Attila life wasn't lovely, his family wasn't perfect and his life wasn't perfect. Attila A Barbarian's Love Story is a novel of choosing a path. I learned the true meaning of love while read. Peter Hargitai used excellent terms and ways to describe the story. Reading this novel made me realized how important it is to make the right decision in life. Choosing a path is a part in life. Throughout the majority of the novel, there are numerous levels of concentration varied since some of the chapters were grabbed my attention. This book is very touching as well as gratifying. It made me how to appreciate the small things we take for granted. Attila is a great story to share with others.

Summary: ...the Dogs of War...
Review: "Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story" is the finest example of auto-biographical story telling to emerge in a very long time. This novel is a true detailing of life's dramatic and sometimes quiet twists and turns. Often times auto-biographies are dull and can lapse into stages of self pity, but this novel attacks the reality of life head on and relentlessly drives the reader towards its' completion. This was a truly amazing novel.

Summary: Like no other
Review: Wow, what a book. Really this book is well written, and the descriptions are great. Reading it is like being in a stadium seated movie theatre as every scene is able to be conjured up in your imagination. Peter Hargiti really hit the nail on the head when he wrote this book. His truthfullness kept the book interesting as his drama of a life unfolded. I usually thought Autobiographies were boring but this book was different. It was exciting, dramatic, raw, and just excellent.

Many writers "write" about their lives, but to allow the readers to not only read, but live part of what you did shows true talent. This book is just as good as any other five star written by million dollar writers, and deserves real acknowledgement. This book is the beginning of a new era and style of writing. This book is a book to read and to miss out on a chance to read it is a shame. It's a great novel, and once started it's almost impossible to put down.
