Summary: A Barbarian In Love: Is there really more to say?
Review: Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story was a great book. I know it was a great book because I finished it. I usually leave books half way and then put them away. I didn't do that with this book, and that says alot about a book. Attila and Millie have such a great relationship, especially after all the obstacles they go through. They have to deal with Millie's father not wanting them to see each other, going to different colleges, Attila's family, and alot more. The love story is the main part of the book, but that is not all. There is alot more to this book and it definitely is worth reading.

Summary: Reaction to "Atilla: A Barbarian's Love Story"
Review: Peter Hargitai's "Atilla: A Barbarian's Love Story" is one of the finest books I have read in a very long time. It tells a wonderful story about a young Hungarian man who falls in love with a young American woman, and how he struggles and sacrifices to keep his love alive in the face of adversity from his parents, and worse, her parents.
I highly recommend this book to people of all ages, except for those under the age of fifteen, for the material is somewhat strong. It is a very moving piece of literature that can impact us all. Though it is slow at times, such as the beginning, the book paces itself until the adrenaline high kicks in all the way through the satisfying end.
This is the kind of book that would inspire a screenwriter to create a script to an Oscar-worthy picture. The material is so strong, and the characters are so well developed, that one could not help but feel as if an internal development is taking place as it is read. I give this novel 4 stars, only because I do not have the option to give it 4 and a 1/2.

Summary: Crystal Loriga's review on ATTILA
Review: I thought Attila was a great story. I loved hearing about how you and Millie met and fell in love. I also like the way you could describe how you were at a young age and as a teenager to an honest fault. You concentrated more on emotions that on the story itself but thats what makes it your own style of writing. The story in the beginning got me lost until you started talking about your move from Hungary to America. I find myself questions whats real and whats not. I like the way you used real language from today. It helps me to understand where you're coming from
They were some odd characters like your aunt. It's interested to hear that there are people like that in Hungary. Your love story was a tale on innocence, infatuation, and love for the first woman who drove your body on its heat drive to no end. Millie sounds like an average girl with an average crazy father, a little perverted though. It's good that nothing is too out of the ordinary.

Summary: A Good Book For All
Review: Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story was a magnificent book that will catch the eyes of thousands of people. This is one of Peter Hargitai's finest books, and it will always be his finest book. This book was about a scrappy young boy named Attila who was living with his aunt, because he wanted nothing to do with his mother and her the same way. Attila has been through many hardships...yet he falls in love with this pale girl named Millie. Millie was like his idol. She gave him strength to go against his relatives' will and marries her. It was like a true love story that made it seem real, nothing fairy tale about it. This book was filled with hate, love, and lust, which made this book an enjoyable piece of writing art. This was a true love story, because Attila felt that he should do what his heart desires. He felt independent and free.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. This is one book I will remember for a while. Though I must admit the beginning seemed kind of dull, it seemed that the story caught my attention as I read more into the story. I felt like I was trapped into his world...captivated by his devotion with Millie and with himself. This book really is a true barbarian's love story.

Summary: A touching story
Review: Attila A Barbarian's Love Story is a book filled with excitement. It tells the story of a young man that was born during the Hungarian revolution and the end of world war two; living in Hungary was a great burden at that time. It also tells of how it was for a boy to leave his country and arrive in America. Not only is this book a great history source but it is also a love story. I recommend that all those people that once had to leave their native land in search of something better read this book.

Summary: A Must Read!
Review: "Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story" is a novel based on a young boy's life who surpasses many obstacles and hardships. It deals with the courage he must have to escape from Hungary and its cruel regime to come to the land of opportunity. Hargitai also encompasses a wonderful love story, full of emotion and compassion. When Attila falls in love with a young girl, Millie, the story changes and becomes a deeply involved passion that many young readers can relate with. Though at times sad, the book tells of reality and allows the reader to feel every emotion deep within. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inspirational and touching piece of literature.

It then continues on to the family moving to America and beginning a new life that Attila is still trying to adapt to. Summary: Awesome story
Review: Outstanding book. "Attila: A Barbarians Love Story" is the story about a young Hungarian boy that escapes his motherland from the horrors of war. His family ends up in North America where he grows up. What I liked about the book is that anyone that reads this book can easily related to it, at least most of the people in the United States. The story is full of suspense, love, and humor. I recommend this book to anyone, especially if your family background is that of another country. It will help you understand the hardships of having to flee your own home and the struggle of starting a new life in a strange foreign country.

Summary: Great Love Story
Review: "Attila: A Barbarian's Love Story" was an emotional novel that touched me on many levels. Attila's experience in both Hungary and the United States was not an easy one. First he struggled to leave Hungary with his family after the revolution leaving behind his adoring Tanti. Then he had to adjust to a new country with different customs.

The storyline in the beginning of the novel drags on a little. The storyline starts picking up once Attila moves to the U.S. His adolescence in the U.S. is quite interesting ranging from his passion of soccer and poetry to his crazy love life. The love story between him and Millie is the best part in the novel.

I give this novel four stars. I enjoyed it very much and I recommend it for anyone to read.

Summary: Can you escape who you are?
Review: Attila: A Barbarian Love Story was quite the get to know you book. The book begins with the struggle of a family escape the Hungarian Revolution to reach freedom; the change and conflicts within each other in adjusting to a new country. The book then does a surprising twist when it becomes a teenage novel of discovering true love in a erratic form. From then on, it keeps you wanting to read more to find out what will happen in the lives of these characters. It makes you want to cry, laugh, feel for people in the book, questions your surroundings that is why I think I would totally recommend reading this book.
