Summary: A Man's State of Mind
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. I recomended this book to all my friends. This book made me laugh and then it made me cry. I never read a book that actually made me cry. I hope Mr. Burns is able to write more books and accomplish all his dreams. Thank you for the opportunity to read this book... I just wish the ending would have been a little different. i.e. did Tasha have H.I.V? How did Darryl tell his friends? What was their reaction?

Review: My first novella. I enjoyed this easy read so much I read it in 2 days. A Man's State of Mind is not your usual read about relationships. The characters are believeable. Chris I really liked the dedication. I am waiting for your next book. I like your style.

Review: The book was recommended by a very good source. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. If really "flowed". The author made reading this book seem as if you were watching a movie. You could picture every characters physical make up, their emotions and every detail in your mind. The only thing that was missing were the refreshments. This book will definitely take you away and draw you in at the same time. I am looking forward to more books from this up and coming author.

Summary: It was pretty good
Review: The story of Darryl, and the three women he play around on. Darryl finally meets a woman he makes him give up his playing ways. I was kinda of shocked with what happened to Darryl at the end of the book, and I also would have liked to have known Sherry's and Michelle's result. The book gives you a pretty good look at how a man thinks.

Summary: A Realistic View Of Consequences
Review: This book is a well rounded example of the lives of many young successful African-Americans. The author's ability to write from a female's point of view is surprising. He also does a very good job of showing the role of a young black gay male, the gay and lesbian community bieng one that is often ignored within the minds of many African-Americans. I enjoyed the book because it shows a prime example that we all must deal with the consequences of our actions.

Review: This is an incredible book. It gives hope to all of the black woman out there who have given up all hope of finding an honest black man. If I wasn't a beleiver before I am now. This book is a must read. And thanks to Chris for portraying the chracters as young black professional rather than the steretype! This book is a must read for all black woman who have given up. If Darryl was able to change his ways then there is hope after all!

Summary: Well conceived first book.
Review: This novella reflects the author's state of mind: clear, genuine and eager to communicate in a meaningful way. Unlike other novels that glut the market, this one isn't filled with glib stereotypes or trite situations. African- American readers--all readers, for that matter--deserve more, and this novel delivers. Its characters and situations carry distinct elements of reality and are thought-provoking. Voices and dialogue are thoroughly convincing. All of which makes for a read that is as enlightening as it is entertaining. The author clearly has a bright future ahead of him and I look forward to seeing where the writing will carry him.
