Summary: The redeeming power of love....
Review: The Last Slow Dance/ Review
by
Madlyn-Ann C. Woolwich

The Last Slow Dance is a novel of inspiration, understanding and the development of true love.....the kind that goes beyond the surface to the very heart and soul of the two people, their relationship and the redeeming power of love.
When two dissimilar people with entirely different goals meet, and are drawn to each other, it is no wonder that they have many problems to solve before they can ultimately have a fulfilling relationship and love to last a lifetime. When Michael McCain, accomplished musician meets Mary Livingston at the Whispered Tomes cafe, their relationship becomes a quest for devotion, fidelity and a simple life for all of them.
As a musician, Michael is on the road entertaining, but that is not what Abby Rhodes thinks about when she invites him to accompany her on a road trip.
Michael is a man trying to raise two children, balancing a life as a musician on the road, and hoping to find a fulfilling relationship with a woman who values a home over all. Mary is a writer traveling the country, looking for the perfect story, and the right mate and though she is drawn to Michael, the life he leads seems to be the opposite of a peaceful life. When they solve the problems that existed in their lives, before they met each other, their relationship becomes a strong bond that will unite them for the rest of their lives on earth, and perhaps thereafter.

Summary: A Father's Guide to Daughters
Review: This delightful book shares the enthusiasm and difficulty of a father's relationship with his daughter. No wonder wives are buying Mary Gauden Hughes' book for their husbands. I wish I'd had the benefit of the author's wisdom when my girls were young. Most of us fathers are uncomfortable when our daughters go from the "daddy's little girl" stage to that of young ladies. Hughes' THE LAST SLOW DANCE makes that transition easier and so much more understandable.

Summary: The last Slow Dance
Review: This is a powerful, poignant and compelling love story of love found and the transforming power of this love. The story is marked by Hughes's simplicity of form and purity of line, comparable to the best selling author, Nicholas Spark's novel, The Notebook. A pleasant and relaxing read.
