Rating: Summary: A deftly written, romantic novel Review: Tami Parrington's The Road To Paradise is a deftly written, romantic novel telling the story of Karen Meade, a farm widow and mother who is surprised by a most unusual neighbor. Isaiah Highland is a former rock star who is now looking for the peace, quiet, and the privacy of a simple country life. In the revelatory process of finding each other, Karen and Isaiah discover in one another, and within themselves, so much more than they ever expected or hoped for in this tender, passionate, sensual, and very highly recommended love story.
Rating: Summary: THE ROAD TO PARADISE rocks it's way into your heart Review: When Karen Meade takes a welcome basket to her new neighbor, she is hoping to find another woman to talk with over coffee. She never realized how much that one basket was going to change her life. Sure, she gets lonely at times, but she has a nice life with her kids and her farm. She wasn't looking for a man in her life, especially a rock star with a penchant for women more interested in fun than responsibility. The experience of jetting off to London for dinner and a ballet is something that was totally unexpected. So was life on the road with a rock band and two teenagers. She would be much more comfortable riding the fences in a pair of old jeans and boots, than wearing 3 inch heels and glamorous gowns to the outlandish parties of a rock band and their friends. Isaiah Highland has the life that most people can only dream of. As a rock star on the road to a comeback, the last thing he needs is a woman to interfere with his life of luxury, sex and rock and roll. He isn't ready for the changes in his life brought about by a chance meeting with a neighbor. He is used to glamorous women that are more interested in having fun than living up to some sense of responsibility. He was just looking for a quiet place to get away from the hectic pace every once in awhile, not a new way of life. If they are ever going to find their road to paradise, Karen and Isaiah will have to overcome many obstacles. Groupies, late night parties, long hours traveling, and cameras always stuck in your face would be more than enough to try to any relationship. A few secrets and an image that needs to be maintained are determined to detour the couple onto a road that seems to be going anywhere but to paradise. Review: Tami Parrington has succeeded in writing a novel that takes a responsible mother into the glamorous world of a rock star's life. You will find yourself turning the pages eager to find out whether she can get and keep the man that thousands want. You will feel her pain and joy as she struggles to come to terms with the ups and downs of her new dream life. You are left with a new found understanding that you may not always get what you are looking for, but you might find that the road you never expected to travel can be your road to paradise. Recommendations: This book is a must read for anyone that has ever dreamed of a life that is even a little more glamorous than their own. Tami Parrington has done an excellent job of capturing the readers attention and sharing a multitude of experiences that most people never have the opportunity to enjoy. After reading this enlightening book, you will want to watch for more books by Tami Parrington. Her style of writing promises to bring even more enjoyment with each book she does. This is one writer that I plan on keeping an eye out for more of their books.
Rating: Summary: Fun to read Review: While I'm not normally a romance reader, I found The Road to Paradise difficult to put down. Ms. Parrington skillfully describes the drastic changes in a woman's life when she falls in love with a rock star and is swept into his world. The descriptions of the band's rehearsals and concerts make you feel like you are right there back stage. There is often some type of conflict as the lead characters struggle to adapt to each other's pace of life, enough to keep you from putting this book down. I would read anything Ms. Parrington publishes again and hope to see these characters in future books
