Summary: A wonderful Romance Sci/fi Adventure
Review: After buying this book I found I could not put it down. The love story was fantastic and the adventure was fabulous add in the fantasy and WOW! I know this is the author's first book and she is just beginning in this business of writing but I cannot wait for the next book! Her imagination is so vivid and in depth that I felt as if I was along for the adventure viewing it as it happened. Regardless of some of the negative comments I loved this book and will certainly re-read it. I am hoping for a sequel and more books by the same author. If you are looking for a good story and enjoy a good fantasy and adventure this is your book. I was mine. Just think how much more Romance there is with Three Moons Rising instead of one.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: After the two reviews from the two women in the military who think this wonderful book wasn't what they thought it should be I would like to remind them not to take out their frustrations on such a grand work. Just because the woman in Italy can't distinquish between a seduction and a rape scene and the lady in Hawaii thought I was putting down the entire military should have nothing to do with the rating of this book... Summary: Science Fiction and Romance WOW
Review: As a gentleman I usually don't read Romance Novels but this one caught my attention. I'm a Science Fiction fan and thought I'd give it a try. Well I loved it! Not only was the Science Fiction great but so were the car chases and space dog fights. The love scenes were good, and the tension and telepathic friction between the main characters was interesting. I liked the blue Water Cat and her ability to read minds. The scenes with the naked High Priestess could have been more descriptive but they were inventive and gave my imagination enough to work with. In all I throughly enjoyed Three Moons Rising and I hope there will be more Science Fiction by this author soon, I will take the Romance with it anytime. A sequel would be nice.
I would enjoy to see what happens with the young prince when he is grown, with parents like Izadra and At'r he should be a fire ball.

Summary: Disappointed big time.
Review: As an addicted reader of science fiction and fantasy, I bought this book sometime ago. I like finding and giving new authors a chance. I read about half of this over the past weekend, finally, and will now be putting it up for sale or returning it for a refund. It's NOT up to the quality of writing that I'm used to reading. The writing itself is very amateurish. I see some people calling this romantic. If they think Three Moons Rising is romantic, I feel bad for their significant others!

I won't be buying any other books from this particular publisher (or author) in the very near future. Maybe Amazon should also start reviewing PUBLISHERS along with their books??

Summary: Fresh Bold Style
Review: AT LAST! A WRITER with the guts to show more than two points of view. I am so thrilled to read a romance novel that has the smarts to show more than the hero and heroine's point of view. So many romance novels have gotten into this one or two view plots that they have become DULL. Three Moons Rising is an adventure into not only another world but another way of exploring romance. Thank You Ms. Eskew for your Fresh Bold Style
When can we expect the Sequels?

Summary: Not Worth the Money
Review: Catherine doesn't realize that the necklace her grandmother left her is more than a family heirloom--it's a long-lost galactic treasure! It marks her as more than a simple earth-woman.. she's the heir to the long-lost Creasion Empress!

Emperor A'tr recognizes the necklace on sight, and knows that Catherine--Izadra--is destined to be his wife. He will seduce her, show her the world that will be hers when she accepts her destiny...

Surrounded by betrayal and deceit, lost in a way of life she never imagined existed, Catherine/Izadra must come to terms with the man who has claimed her as his own and the world that he says needs her.

It is important to note that Three Moons Rising is a self-published book--this is not to say that all self-published books are worthless (Eragon, anyone?) but that any potential reader must realize that this book has had NO editing besides that which the author (and perhaps her friends) did herself. It is riddled with misspellings and improper grammar/word usage and, quite often, is completely muddled. The storyline, while expansive and perhaps well-conceived, putters to a halt leaving numerous unfinished dangling subplots. The characters are shallow and the hero is totally unsympathetic. The sensuality of the novel amounts to rape and moon-calf moanings about destined love.

This book is not worth the shipping and handling price, let alone the $20 cover price. A potential reader is better served looking at Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's Liaden Adventures, or any other number of romantic science fiction stories than attempting to wallow through this meandering--if well-loved by the author and her friends/family--attempt.

Summary: I loved this story...
Review: Catherine Izadra Kirk is the long-lost granddaughter of the kidnapped Empress Iza. Raised on Earth, the beautiful, fiery haired diplomat's daughter had no idea that her heritage was royal, or that her destiny lay in the stars.
At'r, Emperor of the Three Houses of Creasion, is being pressured to marry for the future of the Empire. Strong children are needed to carry on the royal line...and the fight against the Zerion wages fiercely.

Catherine is kidnapped by the Zerion after witnessing their activities on Earth. The ship is then, (as prophesied), taken by the Creasion. Catherine is therefore, restored to her heritage and a marriage she neither expects or desires.

Wed to At'r against her will, Catherine (now known as Lady Izadra), is forced to confront a loveless, state marriage. She resists bonding telepathically, as her sole means of maintaining her own independence. After the wedding, Lady Izadra and Lord At'r take to the stars, fighting the Zerion in their bases among the planets and Earth.

Please note that Catherine is no submissive mouse. She escapes back to Earth, causing all sorts of wonderful problems for her (mostly confused) spouse. And when she returns to her husband, she continues to confound both him and the royal court, (a hotbed of intrigue).

Ms. Eskew has written a well-plotted, intricate story of space travel, intrigue, and romance. The wedding night is handled with some delicacy, though the device of unwilling bride being taken forcefully by her husband is not one most readers today are comfortable with. That being said, it is appropriate for the world Ms. Eskew has designed and reminds the reader that through most of human history, women were considered property and expected to submit to the lawful demands of their husbands.

My only difficulty in reading this book was the rapidly changing point of views. Ms. Eskew's desire to explain the many differing character's thought processes made it harder to maintain a smooth stream of disbelief. I loved the story, and will certainly look forward to seeing where her fertile imagination takes us in the future as she polishes her craft.

Summary: Three Moons Rising-touched my heart/soul and kept me hot!
Review: From the introduction to the end Three Moons Rising kept me on the edge of my seat. It moved in action, it kept my heat racing with the Fantasy and Science Fiction and it kept my emotions at the top with the love story. Izadra had to admit she was the true heir to fill the Creasion prophecy and Marry At'r and At'r at last had to admit he loved Izadra and their child to save them and his Throne and Planet. Both had to put aside their pride and neither could deny the physical attraction that kept them coming back for more of each other through the entire spicy book. I highly recommend this book over some of the others suggested on this site. This is a book of light, not darkness. A true love story where love comes through and wins. If you love a good love story this is the one for you. Cecila

Summary: Another "reviewer" who can't read!
Review: Here is another example of a so called "reviewer" who simply can not read an intricate plot. I often defend this wonderful book because it is just that wonderful and is read by readers who do not take the time to READ it. They want to just pop their way through a quick read when it takes someone with enough sense to actually pay some attention to what they are reading. There is no PRINCE there is an EMPEROR in Three Moons Rising! This is such an obvious mistake on the part of this so called "reviewer" that proves the reader isn't a "reviewer". The transitions are smooth and there isn't any HEAD POPING except in this readers mind. Three Moons Rising is an involved story of Adventure, Love, and Fantasy, that takes place over the span of space from Earth through the stars to the planet Creasion. It runs the gambit of emotions from pride overcome to duty fulfulled and love triumphant over evil. But obviously this isn't a book for just anyone who wants a quick uninvolved read. Three Moons Rising has received wonderful reviews from REAL REVIEWERS if the perspective readers cares to look further than the first "reviewer" and read what the experts who KNOW think. People like Harriet Klausner and The Romance Studio and Authors like Pamela Waller as well as many other readers who have enjoyed this book too.
A reader who is looking for a quick read that doesn't touch the heart and keep you on the edge of your seat should stick with possibly commic books or simple plotted romances that can be read with in an hour or so and pushed out of your head with the Sunday comic strips.
By the way, how much credit can you give a "reviewer" who doesn't sign their names?

Summary: More Romance with Sci/Fi
Review: I am a Science fiction fan and that's why I bought this book but I have found that I also enjoyed the Romance element of it too. An unusual thing for a man but it certainly enhanced the the science fiction and the fantasy. I've read most of the other reviews and I must agree more with Beth, Margaret and Jess' opinions over the others. It seems to me they are just out looking for problems instead of enjoying the book. I think it was a wonderful read. Great action good love scenes and a fantastic ending. I've recommended it to several friends and they have enjoyed it too. It is about time that the writers started realizing that the men like a little romance with their sci/fi as well. I hope there will be more like this, it kind of reminds me of Star Wars and as far as grammar and such, well maybe that lady is just an old school teacher who should go grade a few more of her student's papers. I read for enjoyment not to find a comma in the wrong place for heaven sake.
