Rating: Summary: The handicapped have found a champion! Review: As a person that doesn't read much romance, I got this book for pure escapism and found myself much intrigued. First, there were the ghostly, stereotypically Jewish mother matchmakers who might have made the book all by themselves had it not been for the novelty of the hero being an amputee. I don't believe I've EVER read a book where the romantic interest was an amputee. I was very impressed that Sara Jarrod would break the physical handicapped barrier by making it so. Good job, Ms. Jarrod!
Rating: Summary: Not Impressed with this book Review: I read Heaven Above and loved it!!! A very heart warming book. However, Arranged in Heaven doesn't deliver---it does have some steamy sex scenes but not much else. I don't recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely enchanting Review: In heaven, Ruth Newman meets Sylvia Harris and both discuss their single children back on earth. They agree to a plan to help their beloved children find happiness. Ruth wants her son, Dr. Danny Newman, to be happily married with children. Sylvia desperately wishes that her daughter, country club swimming coach Gayla Harris to be happily married with children. The plan of the heavenly duo is to arrange for Danny and Gayla to meet, fall in love, and happily marry. In Dallas, Danny meets Gayla and immediately asks her out. He being a doctor, she thinks he has a God complex (like her father), but accepts under her conditions. She soon learns that he has lost a lower leg and he learns that she has emotional scars caused by her relationships with doctors (including her father). Though they are a natural, it appears that heavenly interference from a pair of meddling matchmakers will be needed if Danny and Gayla are to ever share a loving relationship. Sara Jarrod is one of the best writers of otherworldly romances and her latest tale, ARRANGED IN HEAVEN, will enhance that reputation. The story is humorous (thanks to the dishonest angelic matchmakers) and poignant, but mostly fun to read. Fans of the sub-genre need to read this tale and Ms. Jarrod's previous "Haunting Hearts" works, HEAVEN ABOVE and HEAVENLY BLISS because they live up to their titles. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: If you liked HEAVEN ABOVE, you'll love ARRANGED IN HEAVEN. Review: Ruth Newman and Sylvia Harris are ghosts, but that doesn't keep them from searching for perfect mates for Dan and Gayla, their respective children. Chuckle at their antics, and fall in love with this very special hero and the woman who makes him lose his heart. I hope this book gives you as much pleasure when you read it as I had while writing Dan and Gayla's story.
Rating: Summary: The handicapped have found a champion! Review: This book was great. It was funny but it also conveyed some very powerful messages. I think that this book would be for anyone who is tired of the characters in a romance book being absolutely perfect. I believe that this book depicts how people with emotional and physical troubles deal with the obstacles put in their way and how they overcome them with the strenght of their love. It was a great book and I would highly recommend it. The sex wasn't as steamy as Heavenly Bliss but it was still a good book. The only improvement could be more sex scenes.
