Rating: Summary: One Dead Preacher Review: "One Dead Preacher" is a thrill ride of a read. The story is literally told from end-to-end, and is like a roller coaster ride of highs, dips and curves that keep you moving through the pages at a furious pace. Just like with riding a roller coaster, as soon as it comes to a halt, you want to jump back in the pages of this book and go again.Being a fellow writer, I appreciate the title as it relates to the story. One Dead Preacher is "alive and kickin,'" with almost as many characters and stories as the Bible. It is the revelation at the end that brings it all full circle. This book is an excellent face pace read.

Rating: Summary: A Great Mystery Review: First of all, I read this book b/c someone in my bookclub was sponsoring this book for the month. Also, this was my first mystery book and I have to say that this was a good mystery. I did not know that a mystery could keep my interest. I felt that the first two chapters were slow and then the book picked up the pace and I could not put it down. The characters in this book were funny to me but I could imagine them in my head when he first described them in the book. If you are looking for a good mystery then pick up this one.
Rating: Summary: Lindsay is a Brave New Voice Review: For those of you waiting on the next Walter Mosley Mystery, or a reprint of one of Chester Himes' Crime Stories, this is the book to read. I was luck enough to read an advance copy of the book. This brother is bridging the gap between commercial and literary fiction. It's a murder mystery, but his writing touches on humor, drama, action, suspense, the whole nine. It's a fast paced story, I read it in one night. And just because it's a mystery doesn't mean it's devoid of messages. check out the subtle references to current black leadership. It's a great debut piece of fiction. Kudos!
Rating: Summary: One Dead Preacher Review: Great book, I didn't figure it out until the end, A lot like Walter Moseley, I didn't expect the romance, good job
Rating: Summary: Definitely one to add to your library..I LOVED IT! Review: I am usually not a mystery or thriller reader...but I am certainly a new fan of Mr. Lindsay's. The characters are soo vivid and alive..it was almost like reading a book and seeing the movie at the same time. I really enjoyed his style of writing - which I am sure contributed to me loving this book so much. Although a mystery and thriller..it didn't have you lost as to who was who..and what was what.. I am trying not to give this book away...excuse my vagueness. :) Try this one - I am sure you'll like it. P.S. I want dogs like Ying and Yang!! LOL

Rating: Summary: New Mystery Novel Fan! Review: I have never been a big fan of mystery novels. Tony Lindsay has made a fan out of me. I was so into this book from the beginning to the very end. The characters were all so different, yet they all fit together. I was disappointed when I finished reading the book because I didn't want the day to end I wanted a new mystery to begin. I would recommend this book to any one. I hope that Mr. Lindsay will continue the characters in his next book and not keep me in suspence as to how their lives progress. I especially liked David who is thuggishly romantic if there is such a thing. As with all mystery novels, it's not who you think did it. It was the butler! (ha-ha-ha). Mr. Lindsay keep up the good work and I look forward to your next book.
Rating: Summary: One Great Book!!! Review: I really enjoyed reading "One Dead Preacher". I was hooked from the beginning. David Price was an interesting and funny character. I was not able to figure out any of the plots. This book kept me guessing to the very end. I was truly convinced that all the characters were real. I hated to see the story end. I hope Mr. Lindsay writes more on the life and times of P.I. David Price. A great book to add to your mystery collection.
Rating: Summary: Non-Stop Intrigue Review: I received this book on Thursday. I finished it Saturday! I could not put it down. It has been a while since a book captivated my interest like this one. The dialogue is genuine, the characters are human and each page is action packed. I look forward to more of David and Ricky's antics.
