Summary: A really bad non-romance.
Review: My apologies to the author, but this book simply did not work for me. I felt no real chemistry between the 'hero' and heroine, just a lot of convoluted history. The 'hero' is especially weak, he may be traumatized by his beloved child's death, but he never does anything to prove or earn the love and respect of the true love he so callously jilted (over hurt feelings) - his whole reason for being there seems rather selfish and his regret at past mistakes rings false. What makes things even worse is when the heroine finds out all about it in a really long sob letter he has written to her, but kept in his desk. The guy was just too weak to care about. The heroine was a little better, but not by much as she was very weak as well. This one is a definite pass.
