Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Beautiful Captain and rakish prince
Review: Called home from England, Bavarian Prince Deverell is well aware plots are afoot. He attempts to smoke out the plotters by pulling a foppish libertine act. This backfires. His furious ailing father sends him to Wellington's armies to make a man out of him, with a WOMAN bodygaurd; Lady Marisa Lancet, the horse guard captain to be precise.

The sparks fly as Marisa's contempt for the disilute prince and his outrage at a beautiful bodyguard collide.

Now, my main complaint, is the slow romance feature. Nothing really starts until halfway through the book. However, once you get past the setup, the last half goes nicely.

Prince Deverell is a truly compassionate and brave man. This along with Marisa's courage and humility breaks down their walls. I almost hesitated on the 4 stars, but the writing pushed it that extra half mark.

Enjoy!
