Rating: Summary: Interesting Romance Twist Review: As an avid reader of fantasy romance, I found "A Dream Apart" to be quite original in its approach to the story line. The story's hero, Matthew Redtree, was quite believable as the legendary warrior descendant, Son of Lost Eagle, who is the modern-day champion of Molly Sheridan, the descendant of Valmain; a centuries-old magician. Their destinies are intertwined by folk lore and myth, which slowly come to fruitition as they first meet as Molly being one of Matthew's students in a college folklore class he was teaching.Molly's gift of "dreaming" was interesting, as it brought in many different angles to her complicated life she was trying to come to terms with. Her love is torn between Matthew and her "dream" man Aaric, which was both fun to read and frustrating, watching Molly unable to decide what she really wanted. I gave this book four stars due to its originality, but because of plot holes and, what I found to be irrational and unexplainable behaviors in the main characters in order to move along plot line, I would say this is a 3 1/2 star book. It's definitely worth a read if you can get your hands on a copy.
