Summary: Hurricane Andrews provides interesting background
Review: As a former resident who lived in Miami during hurricane Andrew, I enjoyed this unique background for a romance novel. I found its descriptions vivid and the story very satisfying. It is a story of romance growing out of the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. South Florida author Heather Graham Pozzessere uses her first hand knowledge to bring not only an accurate picture of the hurricane's devastation but also the resilience and spirit of those affected by it. Single mother Katie Wells and her son Jordon are rescued during the height of the storm by a neighbor, Andrew Cunningham, As their house is destroyed, they are sheltered in his curiously unharmed hom. As the neighbors on this small circle begin to put their lives back together, they wonder why some of their homes were destroyed and some were barely touched. All were Hunnicunn homes, supposedly built to withstand the vicious winds. As the new relationship grows between Drew Cunningham and Katie Wells, the answer to this question may be the toughest test that Hurricane Andrew presents. I really enjoy Heather Graham Pozzessere's romances with a touch of mystery.
