Summary: From You, Me & The Kids series
Review: Country music star Melinda Kimbrough, known to her fans as Misty, disappears after a sell-out concert, determined to break the stranglehold her manager has over her life. Now twenty-six, Wes has managed her life since her father died when she was sixteen. The open-ended contract they have is virtually unbreakable but Melinda needs out before she breaks down. With millions in bank accounts she cannot touch, Melinda resorts to living on the streets of LA until she hears about a ranch for teens needing a new start.

Linc Parker might be a financial wizard to the stars, but it was not enough to save his teen sister from suicide when an audition left her desperately depressed. To make recompense to the past, he buys Rascal Ranch sight unseen. He expects a working refuge but finds three abandoned wards of the state and bunkhouses with no heat and the entire operation filthy. Before he can even decided what to do about the three young children, five teens arrive in desperate need of a bed. He quickly realizes that Melinda, nicknamed Randi, is no teen and on the run. But does not suspect that she is part of the world of entertainers and celebrities that he has come to despise.

Author Roz Denny Fox has established a solid reputation for stories that touch the heart. Inspired by an overheard conversation in which a star admitted that life at the top is not always rosy, A COWBOY AT HEART captures the challenges of life in the spotlight. With her deft storytelling skill, Fox creates a memorable tale of healing and redemption for a powerful heroine and a man bold enough to learn to love her. The result is a vividly realized tale with remarkable characterizations that cannot help but touch the heart. A COWBOY AT HEART comes very highly recommended.

Summary: A VERY MOVING STORY --
Review: Lincoln Parker hadn't been around when his younger sister needed him. Looking back he could finally see that he had been guilty of overindulgeing his sister. Too much money and not enough personal time.

He wanted to buy the ranch that Oasis was dumping. Look out mister.

At the same time Miranda Kimbrough was being so stressed out with her singing career that she felt that she had to disappear for a short time.
So she hit the streets with a bunch of kids, kids who had known Linc Parker's sister, Felicity. Could they give him some answers?

Randi and her group of kids hitched up to northern California into the back woods to find this ranch. Only to meet a frustrated Linc at Rascal Ranch where he was left with 3 young children, one in a wheelchair, that were not supposed to be there.

What a mix up! Linc soon learned to chill out and make do, as the kids had learned to. Randi found her heart going out to the youngsters that Linc didn't know how to handle.

Randi eventually gets found out and has to leave - then Linc has money problems with his partner and wouldn't you know, the kids pull them all together.

So much more to the story - you will love Wolfgang, Hana and Cassie and the rock group. Wonderful gang of characters to make a heartwarming story of the young and the adults meshing their lives into a great family group.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- SHOULD BE A KEEPER!

Review: Miniseries: You, Me & the Kids

Miranda Kimbrough is a woman escaping her celebrity life. Linc Parker is a man with a debt to his past. Because of it, he's bought a ranch as a haven for kids - throwaway kids, homeless kids, runaways.

Miranda, a runaway of a different kind, discovers Rascal Ranch. She falls for the place, the kids...and the man she considers a cowboy at heart.

There's a problem, though. Parker despises the world of entertainers and celebrities, and once he finds out who she really is, all her dreams of marriage and family are going to collapse.

Unless he, too, believes that together they can make a home - for each other and for the kids.
