Review: In a delightful tale that's almost an 'Indiana Jones Meets Bewitched', author Savannah Michaels takes us into the world of amateur treasure-hunting and psychic talents. Shawn's a by-the-book chemist who believes in the paranormal more than he'd like to admit. When he locates a genuine 'Merlin' artifact on trip to England, and then subsequently encounters a striking and unforgettable woman in the airport, he knows his life's about to totally change.

Darcy is a clairvoyant who denies her talents yet is shaken to the core by her airport meeting with Shawn. As the two journey back to Tintagel Castle together, they learn about the power of magic, the scent of stone and the strength of love.

SCENT is an intriguing paranormal romance with much of the paranormal subtle and in the background. Michaels uses superb, witty dialogue (Darcy's and Aili's 'quotable quotes' are a total hoot!) and several plot twists to keep the reader turning pages. Very much an adventure, very much a romance and very much an enjoyable read.

Shawn Corrigan is a chemist with a hefty interest in Arthurian Legends. On a visit to Tintagel Castle in Cornwall, he discovers a hidden cave and an ancient bottle with a heady perfume scent. The cave is believed to be frequented by Merlin's ghost, and Shawn believes the 'Thirteen Treasures of Britain' are hidden somewhere inside.

Across the Atlantic Ocean in Florida, Darcy Brannigan is feeling restless and smells a strange perfume on the air. She's psychic and can sometimes save a person's life if her visions are clear enough. With her friend, Aili Sanders Ryan, they travel to Cornwall to visit Tintagel Castle. Darcy has a fascination with Arthurian Legends, too.

When Darcy and Shawn meet, the perfume proves to be a powerful aphrodisiac. They can barely contain their passion for each other. Together they go to Merlin's cave to find answers.

A golden eagle and a Kris Kristofferson/Willie Nelson look-alike are watching them. Then Aili begins to act strange, disappearing on a whim. Darcy has a terrifying vision of Shawn bleeding in her arms, and she's afraid she's foretold his death.

Intriguing story right down to the last page!
