Rating: Summary: This one goes on the top shelf! Review: I am an avid book reader and I have a top shelf where I put the books I know I will read over and over again. This book belongs there. Ms. Boudreaux had me in a spell and I was sad to finish the book; it was like a dream ending. I am waiting on the edge of my seat for her next book. I can't wait to read more from this wonderful wordsmith! April M. Rough

Rating: Summary: Compelling! Entertaining! Dynamic! Review: I loved this book. The adventure, suspense, and romance. The historical detail enhanced without overcoming the plot. The characters were compelling. Very entertaining. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: Great book filled with magic and adventure. Review: I really liked this book and I learned a lot about the Micmac people and their possible way of life before the Europeans came to America. I can tell that the author has really done alot of research. I also enjoyed the ceremonies and magic of the heroine, Antoinette. I can't wait for the sequel.
Rating: Summary: A good adventure story! Took me away from the here and now! Review: I'm interested in the Knights Templar and I wasn't sure if I'd like a book about Druids and Native American Shamans as well, but this book tied everything together in a fascinating way. A little bit of history and a lot of good writing.
Rating: Summary: Exceptional reading - one of the best I've read !! Review: I've read 100's of books. Song of the White Swan is one of the rare top 1% that I did not want to put down, yet I did'nt want to finish for fear of losing the adventure. The book grabs your imagination and does not let go. I hope Aleta writes many more and SOON !!
Rating: Summary: A joy tom ead. Finally something different Review: Late in the fifteenth century, the independence of Brittany is threatened by the political and religious intrigue emanating from France. The French King Charles VIII demands that Lady Anne de Bretegne, the Duchess of Brittany, marry him. Desperate to save her independent Duchy, Anne sends her trusted advisor, the Druid priestess, Antoinette Charboneau, to England to plead with King Henry for his help. Antoinette travels in male garb as Etienne on a ship bound to England. However, the ship never stops on the English shore. Instead, it mysteriously continues westward across the unknown vast sea. Knights Templar Jacques DuPre soon realizes that Etienne is actually Antoinette. After hearing and believing her story, he agrees to keep her identity secret from the rest of the crew. Jacques and Antoinette are attracted to each other. When they reach land (present day Nova Scotia), natives greet the Europeans. One in particular, Bear, who has been a central figure in Antoinette's visions, attracts the Druid. He finds himself magnetically drawn to the Breton too. However, Antoinette remains in the center of political intrigue that could easily leave her dead. If she survives the tempest, Antoinette must choose between two different individuals who have touched her heart. Whichever one she opts for, one thing remains: it will be a star-crossed relationship. Aleta Boudreaux writes a tremendous historical romance that could easily sell as a romance or a historical fiction. SONG OF THE WHITE SWAN is a great alternate historical romance filled with non-stop action and suspense. Antoinette and her two men are all great characters, with traits that should be admired and emulated by twentieth century people. In the end, it is Ms. Boudreaux's obvious talent that shines throughout every page of this great book. Her skills allow her to paint an alternate but believable discovery of the New World (before Columbus) that should makes this novel appear on everyone's top ten lists. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Wonderful story with vibrant characters Review: Loved this book. Epic story involving the discovery of the New World with all the politics and intrigue involved mixed with a dash of magic and mysticism. Great stuff!
Rating: Summary: Compelling historical romance, well researched by the author Review: My comment is short and sweet. I was intrigued by how the major characters each prayed to and called on their own power and that this power ultimately came from the same source to all of them. A good read!
Rating: Summary: "...a can't-put-down novel that intrigues and captivates... Review: The heroine of the wonderful new book, Song of the White Swan,is a member of the Sisterhood of the Moon and a priestess of the GreatGoddess in 15th Century France, when the Catholic Church regarded such as heathens and pagans. This, then, is the backdrop that artist, author and metaphysician Aleta Boudreaux has painted for her well-written novel. Ms. Boudreaux has fashioned and blended the best elements of a historical romance novel with magic, metaphysics, non-stop action and suspense. Add to this the Knights Templar and a secret mission! In this reviewer's opinion, Song of the White Swan has best-seller written all over it, and should be made into a major motion picture, it's that good! If you read only one novel this year, it should be Song of the White Swan! Review by Richard Fuller, Sr. Editor, Metaphysical Reviews END
