Rating: Summary: Enchanting Review: "..enchanting and extremely well written...the author successfully portrays the magickal world of 15th century Brittany and Nova Scotia...she obviously knows her subject matter." Excerpt from review by Bruce McQueen, Magical Blend
Rating: Summary: Immensely gripping! Review: "..immensely gripping, the vivid imagery heightened my awareness, not only of the plot, but of life around me, which came to be viewed in a much more reverent way." (Beltane Issue 1999)
Rating: Summary: Great descriptions! Review: "I especially loved her descriptions of the physical manifestations of the Powers called upon by Bear [the Micmac Shaman], and Swan [the Druid Priestess]. If only my imagination could do justice to the wonderous effects of their magic. ~ Linda Henry - The Beltane Papers Review
Rating: Summary: A WONDERFUL BOOK! Review: Aleta Boudreaux has written a wonderful book, well researched and beautifully written. This is a book not only for those who enoy historical fiction but also for those who enjoy history. It is a plausible combination of known history and an imaginative mind that projects what could have been. The characters are alive and multidimensional.
Rating: Summary: Enchantingly Seductive Review: Aleta Boudreaux, "Enchantress of the Written Word", ensnares the reader quickly. "Song of the White Swan" intoxicates and mezmerizes all who dare to turn the page. This adventure, drew me in, making me more a participant than a voyeur. Aleta's attention to acute detail in herbology, mysticism and history makes the reader wonder if "Song of the White Swan" is really fiction or ..... an episdode of the writer's previous life (unrealized).

Rating: Summary: One for the personal library! Review: An exciting adventure story that still thrills on the second reading of it! I am again impressed with the author's style and lyrical writing quality. Have recommended this book many times and will continue to do so.
Rating: Summary: The history of France and the New World come together! Review: Antoinette Charboneau was a young Druid priestess and advisor to the future Queen of France. She was sent on a mission for her Lady, by ship, disguised as boy. The ship, however, has a mission of its own and does not go to the expected place. The Queen's mission is impossible to fulfill. Soon her secrets are discovered by the Captain, but kept safe from the crew. Mutiny erupts. Before the Captain escapes his prison Anotinette had been whipped. Unsure if he will succeed in retaking his ship, he sets her adrift in a lifeboat.
Bear calls Antoinette by another name. He is the tribe's shaman. The Goddess has sent sent White Swan to him to teach him more ways of magic. They recognize the healers in each other and slowly learn each other's languages. Treachery is afoot among the tribes as well and a short battle of magic begins.
The destiny of France was brought into the hands of Bear and White Swan when an unexpected ship arrived. It was now up to them to destroy the ship for the future of not only France, but of the New World.
***This story begins in 1491 and follows the life of a Priestess. Her Goddess and the Christian's God test her as she fights for her life, her love, and her country. Aleta Boudreaux has succeeded in bringing together the history of France with the early years of the New World. For history buffs, this book is a MUST! For the ones who love Historical Romances (that do not make the reader want to shake both the main characters for stupidity) Song Of The White Swan is a KEEPER!***
Rating: Summary: Disappointment beyond words Review: Buyer beware.....while this book "touts" itself as historical fiction, it is really fantasy. "Swan" is a Driud priestess....who is set on a ship to escape the Catholic Church who is bent on a path of elimination of her "Sisterhood". Bottom line, this is a book about Druid priestess....ie: throw in fantastical images of shape changing, a magic charm or two, heck, even a "catfight" at the end. Tedious, boring and a complete disappointment.
Rating: Summary: A Page-Turning Adventure Review: Ever so often a book is published that has the potential power to change hearts and minds...SONG OF THE WHITE SWAN is one such book. Prior to my knowledge of novelist Aleta Boudreaux, I sensed the oneness of this universe we all call home. And now, having journied with her characters, experiencing their joys and trials in this page-turner saga, I am indeed convinced of our capacity to, and the necessity of, living as one on Mother Earth and in the Spirit Realms. In the blink of an eye it seemed to take to reach the end of my reading-such was my desire to know the ending-what I was anticipating as an end to the story dawned on me as merely a beginning; sequels are a must! Those who wish to connect with the future, as well as the present, must Re-Member with the past and SONG OF THE WHITE SWAN is a great place to start.
