Summary: Different but pleasing romance
Review: Lucas Strathmere, the Earl of Somerleigh is in Russia completing a death bed vow he made to his friend Casimir Molitzyn that he would find a girl named Tatiana. He finally finds the young lady in the remote town of Mizhakovsk. However, shortly thereafter her village is destroyed, and her family and fiancé killed. Lucas realizes that someone also wants Tatiana dead. He takes her back to England, leaving her in the care of his mother, who begins to turn the wild lady into a woman who will take the Ton by storm.

Already attracted to her spirit and feistiness, Lucas falls in love with the transformed Tatiana. However, she blames him for the death of her loved ones and the destruction of her village. He realizes that he has a new quest. He must uncover the identity of the true villain in order to prove to his beloved that he is not only innocent, but was only carrying out the final wishes of a close friend.

The tidbits from history, especially the Russian perspective of the Napoleonic era, adds much uniqueness and freshness to what would have been a well-written but standard Regency romance. The battling lead characters are a wonderful duo, whose growing love must overcome the Russian tragedy they both witness if it is to grow. Fans of the sub-genre will immensely enjoy Sandy Hingston's brilliantly scribed tale of A MOST RECKLESS LADY.

Summary: wonderful book!!
Review: The story hooked me from the start! I started the book and couldn't put it down! The characters were very well written and there were a few surprises thrown in as well. I very much enjoyed this novel.

Summary: Wonderful romance that unravels midway
Review: This book is wonderfully refreshing to red because it is different - it starts in a village in Russia, has a foreign (non-English) heroine, and a really wonderful hero. However, it is unfortunate that the author halfway employed the Evil Other Woman plot and caused everything to do downhill, right into Tired Big Misunderstanding Country.
