Rating: Summary: i loved it Review: i enjoyed this book,it was a wonderful story.Delcia and Carter's relationship was tender, loving, and beautiful. the greatest excitement i got out of this book was the mystery and murder of Delcia's baby "DADDY". i have always loved family oriented stories and this one was just that a family story at it's best.reading about the island was nice.little Ranetta was an absolute joy to read about. thank you Ms. Poarch for such a wonderful story. p.s. i hope she creates a story for Ryan,Delcia's brother and David, Carter's adopted brother after all that has happened to him.
Rating: Summary: Not enough Emotions and Passion Review: I felt as if this book was very long althought it only had two hundred and something odd pages. The beginning of the book started out okay but as the story went on it seems there was no ending to it.Carter is trying to find out who murdered his foster brother David, which is really not dead. Carter then notices that Delicia's dauther has a resemblence to his brother, but does not believe his brother will abandoned his child. Delecia tells him a man by the name of Richard fathered her child and left her. Things began to twist and they become attracted to each other when they try to figure out who is murdered and who did the murder. Carter and Delecia's relationship does not has passion as I think it should have. This book is not quite up there with other arabesque novels I read. There is not enough "umph" in this novel.

Rating: Summary: Pleasant Read Review: I have read many of the authors books and I think that this one was not like the others. The plot and the main characters were good but something was missing. It really didn't grab and keep you like her others did. Maybe because it was short. Widow Delcia Adams is the owner of a campground on Coree island in North Carolina. After the death of her high school sweetheart she puts all her attention on running the campground. There she meets Richard and fell in love. After he leaves she discovers that she is pregnant. After several attempts to get in touch with him he comes to a bachelor party on the island. But he claims he doesn't know her and his name is not Richard but David. David has left a letter to his adoptive brother Carter and informs him of his encounter with Delcia. After his brothers death Carter a retired Navy Seal goes to Coree Island to see if Delcia is responsible for David's death. Carter does not believe that his brother would have an affair when he was engaged to be married. When he first meets Delcia he is attracted to her and is shocked to see her daughter who has David's eyes. As the story unfolds many things are revealed but many more questions arrises. There are secondary stories that we may see in a later book. Although many issues are presented everything comes together to make this a good read. I agree with the one reviewer that there is not a lot of passion between the hero and herione. I hope that Candice will write a story about Delcia's brother Ryan. I really like his character and the decision he made.

Rating: Summary: Murder, Mystery, Romance,Intrigue Review: This has the ingredients of a made for TV movie. I felt this book was light on the Romance but I enjoyed it as the plot unfold to reveal greed as the primary culprit. Delcia Adams is a widow and single mother of a baby she bore for a man out of wedlock who is murdered. Carter Matthews is a Navy SEAL who as the foster brother of the murdered man sets out to find the killer. Delcia is part owner of the camp ground where Carter begins his search into his brother death, Carter reveals to Delcia his reason for being at the camp but because his brother David's relationship with Delcia has caused a rift between she and her father Carter's presence is less than welcomed. Carter finds himself assisting Delcia at the campgrounds and they both began feeling an attraction toward one another but are cautious because of what Delcia and David shared. As Carter continues to investigate his brothers murder Delcia helps him and they give over to the emotions that are building between them. The twist and turns that take them into finding what really happened to David also leads them on a journey of restoration and love that will unite a family for a lifetime. This books wraps a tender love story with major intrigue if heat and passion are what you are expecting this book may not be for you, but if you like a good mystery this one is a thriller.
