Summary: The Attraction is Strictly Mutual
Review: Lisbeth Robbins is a young widow who has been following the Rodeo circuit, working as a farrier (like a blacksmith). However, she would like to settle down for a spell so her six-year-old daughter Melody can have some stability in her life. Kindergarten on the road had been hard for her, Lisbeth wants first grade to be easier. So when the foreman for the Lone Spur Ranch hires her, she jumped at the offer.Gil Spencer, owner of the Lone Spur, has been away for a bit and is not aware his foreman has hired a woman farrier. He hates rodeos, because his wife was a rodeo girl and had run off with a rodeo guy, abandoning him and his twin boys, Rusty and Dusty. Plus he doesn't believe women belong on a ranch, because they are too much of a distraction for the male ranch hands. So, of course, when he gets back and finds out he has a female farrier on the spread, one that came from the rodeo circuit, he is not pleased. However, there is just something about this petit, tough minded girl, who can make even the most cantankerous of his horses behave, that gets under his skin. And, well, you can kind of guess where this romance goes from there. It's a nice story, one that will put a smile on your face as it did mine. Both Lisbeth and Gil are lovely people. However, I must say, those twins who put the snake in Lisbeth's bed and the bats in her bedroom, really need a mother's touch and if Liz can handle those horses, she oughta be able to handle those boy, wouldn't you think?(...)
