Summary: A fun quick read....
Review: I would love to give this story a 7 out of 10 or a 3 1/2 star rating. It was an enjoyable read with an interesting plot. Annie and Rik are two strong characters who work well together for the duration of the story. They are open and honest about their sexual feelings (they definitely want one another), but are scarred from previous experiences in life to realize what it is they truly want. For both of them it is a big leap of faith to commit to each other and their growing relationship. I liked how Ms. Jerott portrays Rik and Annie as mature people (not necessarily older in age than other books, but they acted older toward each other and their views on life). This is no skittish virgin story, but of two realistic people struggling to come to terms with life.

The secondary characters were a bit on the weak side in terms of development, but were critical to the unfolding of the story. Rik's daughter, ex-wife, ex-best friend and Annie's soldier all come together to tell an interesting tale. If you are looking for a good solid read, don't hesitate to pick up All Night Long.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: If you loved Absolute Trouble, you'll love this one too. Different, but just as great!

Summary: Who dreams up these book covers?
Review: Imagine yourself perusing the paperback section of your local grocery store when you see this book cover. The couple seem to be dancing cheek to cheek while dressed semi-formally. The title is All Night Long with the following summary: "One passionate night can last a lifetime.." Did someone put the wrong cover on the book I read? This cover belongs on a tale of erotica, not Ms. Jerott's novel. Rik is an earthy, forthright dairy farmer, still stinging from the betrayal by his ex-wife with his ex-best friend. Annie is an author of documentary non-fiction trying through her book to reunite a family wrenched apart by war 160 years ago. All Night Long is a wonderful story, even better than A Great Catch. Do yourself a favor, ignore the ridiculous book cover and enjoy the story within.

Summary: An ALL NIGHT LONG read
Review: It isn't everyday you see a romance writer dishing up a refreshing story of contemporary romance and mystery. Michelle Jerott is one of the writers with an unique style and humor of her own and manages to sustain the interest of readers with tantalizing heroes such as Rik Magnusson and intelligent, feisty characters like Annie Beckett.

Set in Wisconsin, the secondary plot engages you into the world of Officer Lewis Hudson and the Black Hawk War of 1832. Through a series of letters, it gives you an insight on Hudson's thoughts on families, war and love, and is surprisingly refreshing. Annie intends to return the injustice suffered by Lewis with his name smeared in treason.

Rik's Black Hollow Farm serves as her destination to unveil the mystery behind this, and never did she expected to be attracted to Rik. There is high-voltage chemistry, kinky fantasies and scintillating humour and sparring between the two emotional characters. However, readers may find the chemistry between Annie and Rik too incredible to make belief.

Fortunately, Ms. Jerott is an author who blends poignancy and sensuality with such smooth ease that ALL NIGHT LONG is that heart-ravaging as well as memorable. It is a love-story that spoke redemption when Rik gains a chance to be in love after his painful divorce, and Annie's dream of anchoring herself to the harbor of love after years of isolation as an orphan is touching. Rik's daughter, Heather, matures under Annie's friendship and comes to terms with her embittered stepfather, her mother and Rik. The attraction is instantaneous between Rik and Annie and elevates a modern story to one of rich historical details and sparkling chemistry.

Only a few authors have succeeded in exciting me to contemporary romances.Linda Howard is one - and I am glad to proclaim Ms. Jerott is another.

Summary: As good as her first.
Review: Michelle Jerott has found her calling. She is definitely an author with credibility, thoroughness and a true understanding of the relationships between men and women. I have read both of her books. They are both keepers. I wish they had been released in hardcover (they age better). So...when can we expect her third to hit the shelves?

Summary: Shockingly DIFFERENT like a VanGogh vs. a Cezanne.
Review: Ms. Jerott didn't use the age-old formula of the almost-perfect hero. Instead, Rik was a teenaged father who didn't finish high school. He's not rich & he's made mistakes, yet he matured into a smart, earthy, well-rooted homeboy who is VERY proud/satisfied with what his two hands can do. Rik & Annie were incredibly strong & mature characters using very direct language. But some characters (like the daughter) weren't well-developed & only got the story muddled.

..............Unfortunately the love scenes, while quite imaginative, were rather short and some were not that hot at all. (The anticipation was better than the culmination.)

Another complaint is that the cover picture is very misleading by showing a couple in sophisticated evening attire. A farmhouse would've been more appropriate. Although I was drawn into the mystery/history of Lewis, there were several dull scenes which really DRAGGED so much that the effort to finish this took me All WEEK Long!

Summary: Real Passion! Real Romance! Jerott does it again.
Review: Only better! Contemp romance fans will swoon for this farm boy. Rik is a wonderful, realistic hero, a man of few words, but his brand of sexy stubborness will steal your heart. Annie is the saavy, strong, in-control kind of heroine more romances need. Jerott blends these two wonderful characters with a dash of suspense, and a wonderful mystery. Don't miss ANL, and if you didn't catch Absolute Trouble, grab it, too.

Summary: Contemporary romance in Wisconsin
Review: Since my marriage to a Wisconsinite (aka "Cheesehead), I've learned a great deal about the Dairy State. All Night Long was a wonderful mix - a confirmation of the known and some nice new tidbits. For example, I knew that dairy farmers can somehow work way too hard and still be really sexy. What I didn't know was that Wisconsin had it's own episodes in the wars of the Frontier.

To avoid redundancy, I won't rehash the plot. Suffice it to say that this novel is a most entertaining window into life with cows and could go along way to improving the image of male dairy farmers. I found both characters to be appealing and accessible. The side plot of searching for the truth about the dead soldier was fascinating. About the only flaws in the book are the dreadful cover and the fact that this two have sex more often than I can imagine.
