Summary: He'd Walked Out On Her, Now He's Back
Review: Lanni Matthiessen works for a real estate agent and she's raising her four-year-old daughter by herself, because her husband, Judd, walked out on her years ago. He'd wanted to see the world, live day to day, and that was something Lanni just couldn't do. She had a child. Someone had to be the responsible one, if not Judd, then her.

But Jenny wants to know about her daddy and one day he shows up at the door as Lanni is about to go out on a date. Lanni is uncomfortable, Judd is jealous. She demands to know why he's back. He says it's because his father is dying and the old man wants to see his granddaughter before he dies. At first Lanni resists, but finally gives in. In fact she goes along.

I have to admit that at first I didn't like Judd one bit, but as the story progressed his character kind of grew on me. I don't know exactly how it happened, but it did. However these two people never would have had a chance if not for wonderful Jenny. You know, sometimes children are smarter than big people.
