Summary: Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Review: After six months of his persistence and her rule of not mixing business with pleasure, Marguerite Cole reluctantly agrees to have dinner with the alluring Dexter Williams. The date concludes, leaving both Marguerite and Dexter with sensational memories that will last a lifetime.

Dexter, the ultimate playboy, finds himself falling in love and this time he is playing for keeps. Although Marguerite enjoys the time spent with Dexter, because of issues she harbors from a past relationship, she has a hard time expressing her feelings and is not seeking a commitment.

Ms. Mello also introduces us to a character readers will love, Marguerite's grandmother, Miss Mae. Readers will also find similarities in members of their own families, when they come to know the other relatives who are always meddling in Marguerite's business, as it pertains to matters of the heart.

Deborah Fletcher Mello's TAKE ME TO HEART is a superbly well-written novel. Readers will laugh at the language spoken by the elderly characters and cry when social issues arise.

Summary: Take Me to Heart
Review: Compelling! Insightful! and Beautifully written! . . . like E. Lynn Harris the author says a great deal in precise language with so little words. Mature, yet colorful and amusing, in her presentation of family life, relationships - in their diverse forms - - the author carefully guides us through many complex situations in Marguerite's life. Moreover, she keeps her (Marguerite's) enigmatic reluctance to say "Yes" to Dexter's "Tell me" in abeyance until the very end - - adding to the compelling interest of the story.

Summary: Take Me to Heart
Review: Deborah Fletcher Mello definitely makes you remember your connection with family and friends. The character of Margherite is one that you will not forget anytime soon. She makes you stop and think about the excess baggage we sometimes "unknowingly" carry into our new relationships. Take Me to Heart will make you remember the good and the bad, it will make you laugh and cry and you will call someone you know and say...you have got to read this book. If you loved the movie Soul Food or if you enjoy reading books by E. Lynn Harris...you will absolutely love this book. I can't wait for her next book.

Summary: Great work of fiction!
Review: I say fiction because this book is much more than a romance. I made me laugh, cry, and think about mine own family. Yep, there was a lot of my family in this book! Very easy to read! The characters were easy to follow. Great read! Looking forward to the next one.

Summary: This was passed to me from my mom. I am surprised!
Review: I was surprised when I strarted to read this book because usually the books that my mom choose do not draw my attention, but this one it not the same. I liked the book from the beginning I loved it so much that the more I read the sadder I got because of the fact that I was getting closer to the end which I did not want to reach. I would recommend this book to anyone and I want to tell the author that she did a swell job in writing this book I look forward to reading some of her other books especially if they are as good as this one.

Summary: Sensual, Sultry and Sure to Please
Review: Take Me to Heart does just that. It will make you laugh, cry and everything in between as you identify with Marguerite and recognize your own family members (everyone has at least one just like em). Not to mention those sista situations that make the juiciest gossip! Take Me to Heart is simply a sweet read like grandma's biscuits and molasses I can't wait for her next offering.
